All the dharmas that are in accordance with the direction of... are in accordance, and the demons will not be able to find an opportunity. That King of Transformations is the eighteenth of the unique dharmas of the Bodhisattva. Why is it called "Unique Dharmas of the King of Transformations"? Because it can completely contain all the Buddha's teachings, it is called the Unique Dharmas. Then, the Bodhisattva King of Transformations said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, the Tathagata bestows great light of Dharma upon the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, and creates immeasurable light, which is truly rare. As the Blessed One said, the meaning I understand is that if this Dharma teaching reaches the ears of any Bodhisattva, he will not gain such faith again when he hears other teachings later. Whoever hears this Dharma teaching, and upholds, recites, reads, and fully understands it, he has grasped all the Buddha's teachings. After grasping it, if he explains it to others, he will have completely matured the Dharma. Whoever properly practices this Dharma teaching, he has entered all the Buddha's teachings. Whoever can endure this, that is the endurance that follows. Whoever strives in this, I think he is striving in all the Buddha's teachings. Blessed One, whichever Bodhisattva does not leave this Dharma teaching, I think he has attained supernormal powers and abides in the essence of Bodhicitta. The Blessed One said: King of Transformations, what you say is true. Whichever Bodhisattva does not leave this Dharma teaching, I think he has attained supernormal powers and abides in the essence of Bodhicitta. King of Transformations, in the distant past, there was a Tathagata before the Tathagata Dipamkara, there was a Tathagata before the Tathagata Extremely Burning, there was a Tathagata before the Tathagata Star King, there was a Tathagata before the Tathagata Victorious King, there was a Tathagata before the Tathagata Extremely

Beyond the realm of skill, there emerged in the world the Tathagata known as the King of Gods, endowed with knowledge and conduct, the Sugata, the Knower of the World, the unsurpassed Guide for taming beings, the Teacher of gods and humans, the Buddha, the Bhagavan. The Buddha-field of that King of Transformations, the Tathagata King of Gods, was prosperous, vast, peaceful, bountiful, delightful, and filled with gods and humans. It was as level as the palm of a hand, adorned with lapis lazuli and embellished with golden lotuses from the Jambudvipa River, as soft to the touch as Kacalindika cloth. At that time, the enjoyments of the people were like the enjoyments of the gods of Tushita, and whatever they wished to eat or drink would appear merely by thinking of it. The color, form, shape, gardens, and palaces of those people were no different from those of the gods, differing only in name. In that three-thousand great thousand world system, there was no king other than the Tathagata, and therefore that Tathagata was called the King of Gods. For example, just as a Chakravartin king sits on the Dharma throne and teaches only the Dharma, and does not teach what is not Dharma, so too, the Tathagata King of Gods sits on the Dharma throne, the throne of virtue, and teaches the Dharma to the people of the world. When he teaches the Dharma, the circle of his retinue, eighty-four thousand yojanas in front and behind, and also eighty-four thousand yojanas to the left and right, is filled. When that Tathagata teaches the Dharma, his voice completely pervades the thousandfold world system. That Tathagata is also worshiped, respected, esteemed, and honored by those gods and humans with offerings that diligently uphold the unsurpassed Dharma of the Buddha. There, no sentient being is inclined towards anything inferior, but all are inclined towards the vast, such as being entirely inclined towards the Dharma of the Buddha. There, Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas

Those lands where even the names are not heard, what need to mention conduct? In the retinue of that Blessed One, there were only Bodhisattvas. There, there was no designation as female. There was no sound of practicing sexual dharma. All those beings were born miraculously in lotuses in the posture of meditation. Those gods and humans also possessed three kinds of joy: the joy of being satisfied by seeing the Thus-Gone One, the joy of hearing the Dharma, and the joy of individually contemplating and distinguishing the Dharma. Those gods and humans also always remained mindful. They diligently engaged in discussing the Dharma with each other. The gods and humans were immeasurable, and even when they died and transmigrated, they consciously took birth in the Buddha-fields where the Buddha, the Blessed One, resided. When that Bodhisattva passed away, he rose into the sky to the height of seven tala trees and uttered the sound of passing away, saying: 'Friends, I am passing away from this Buddha-field.' That sound also gathered many Bodhisattvas, who enjoyed the Dharma-patience of that Bodhisattva and asked him what is the Dharma of passing away and what is the Dharma of birth. That Bodhisattva said to the Bodhisattvas: 'Friends, there is no Dharma that is death or birth, because the Thus-Gone One has fully awakened to the fact that all Dharmas are without death and without birth. Form does not die and is not born. Feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness do not die and are not born. Therefore, in the ultimate sense, there is no self, no sentient being, no life, no person, no one born of power, no offspring of power, no death, and nothing that will be born. The Blessed One has fully awakened to the fact that all Dharmas are emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, and therefore, death or birth of emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness does not occur. The Blessed One has manifested the limit of detachment from desire. The Blessed One has manifested the limit of non-action, the limit of no-birth, and the limit of no-arising, from the limit of detachment from desire to the limit of no-
