You will be prophesied by the Tathagata Immovable Buddha to attain unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment. Then, the goddess of the Great Ocean, Light Manifest, having heard the prophecy of herself from the Bhagavan, felt satisfied, pleased, and delighted, and generated great joy and pleasure. She offered the jewels of the Great Ocean and a garland of jewels of equal value to the body of the Bhagavan, and joined her ten fingers in a palm. At that time, she spoke these verses to the Bhagavan: I have been prophesied by the Sage, the source of all wisdom and virtues, I have no doubt or hesitation about those who will be guided. Also, many beings such as Garudas, Kinnaras, great belly-goers, humans and non-humans, have made offerings to the Tathagata. If the Bhagavan allows me, I would also like to make a small offering to the Tathagata. I would like to invite the Bhagavan and his attendants to reside in a palace-like mansion with great splendor, and then transport them to Vulture Peak Mountain. The Bhagavan said: Son of good family, if you know that the time has come, then transport them. Then, the dragon king's son, Seeing, through the power of the Buddha and his own magical power, blessed the mansion-like palace, and invited the Bhagavan and his attendants to reside there, and then descended from the sky above. Eighty-four thousand dragon daughters also played lutes, blew flutes, beat drums, sang songs, and rained down great showers of flowers, like raining down heavenly incense and various kinds of fragrant powders, gradually transporting the Bhagavan to Vulture Peak Mountain. Then, the dragon king Sea, together with his sons, wife, and attendants, prostrated at the feet of the Bhagavan and confessed to the Bhagavan, saying: Bhagavan, please forgive us for whatever we have not been able to accomplish. Why is that? Bhagavan, just like a precious jewel, there should be an offering that is commensurate with it. The Bhagavan is the supreme field of merit, a precious jewel for all beings, and is worthy of offering. Even all the beings belonging to all the lands of the three thousand great thousand worlds cannot fully accomplish or perfect the offering. Therefore, the Tathagata is worthy of such immeasurable offerings. Bhagavan, furthermore, how should a Bodhisattva make offerings to the Tathagata? The Bhagavan said: Dragon King, listen carefully to how a Bodhisattva diligently makes offerings to the Tathagata. Pure intention is the offering to the Tathagata.

A mind without animosity is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because the mind is equanimous towards all sentient beings. Completely abandoning hypocrisy and all flattery is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because the conduct is completely pure. Doing as one speaks is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because one does not deceive all the worlds. Being content with the lineage of the noble ones and not abandoning the complete acceptance of all the qualities of training is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because one is steadfast in one's vows. Rejoicing in solitude and completely abandoning frivolous talk is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because one completely tames the mind. Properly examining the Dharma as it has been heard is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because one completely knows things as they truly are. Understanding the absence of self, the absence of sentient beings, the absence of hoarding, the absence of accumulation, and the absence of a person is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because it has not arisen from the beginning. Entering the Dharma of emptiness, and ascertaining the signless and being free from aspirations is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because one directly realizes the door of liberation. Entering into this very condition of interdependence and eliminating extreme views is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because one completely abandons the views of permanence and annihilation. Enduring the unarisen and the unborn is an offering to the Thus-Gone One, because it is unarisen by nature. O Lord of Nagas, thus, whatever actions of body, speech, and mind there are, those are not completely pure offerings to the Thus-Gone One; but where there are no actions of body, speech, and mind, that is a completely pure offering to the Thus-Gone One.
