If it is not done, all those sentient beings, at the end of the future, even if my body is cut, split, completely destroyed, completely shattered, I will never abandon all-knowing wisdom. I will never abandon all sentient beings. I will never abandon the desire for virtuous Dharma. What is the reason for that? Because the harm to the body of cutting and splitting the body, all these cannot even approach one percent of the suffering of sentient beings in hell, and cannot be endured even to the extent of the cause. I would rather dwell in the hell of sentient beings, but I will never do the act of abandoning the Buddha's Dharma. I will never abandon the great compassion that aims to completely liberate all sentient beings. What is the reason for that? Because the Bhagavan also said: For virtue, there are many obstacles. For the side of non-virtue, there are many helpers. For the side of virtue, there are few helpers. Therefore, I will never be a helper of the side of non-virtue, but I will be a helper of the side of virtue. One should be patient with all sentient beings, and not harbor anger. Even if those sentient beings do not give me anything, I should give them everything I have, even if those sentient beings harbor anger, wrath, and resentment, even if they do not give me these, I should give them the patience and joy that I have. I should show the power of patience, not anger, I think so. Ocean of Wisdom, for those Bodhisattvas who abandon their body and life, it is not difficult to attain the unexcelled, perfect, and complete enlightenment. I should abandon the Dharma that is the basis of the arising of anger, I think so. What is that Dharma? It is like this, love for the body, attachment to the body, and craving for the body, if the body is abandoned, then anger is also abandoned. Ocean of Wisdom, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has entered into such enumeration, can endure the harm of all sentient beings, without regret, without anger. He can endure three kinds of harm, what are the three? The harm to the body, the harm to speech, and the harm to the mind. Ocean of Wisdom, what is the Bodhisattva's bodily endurance? It is the limbs and

Even if my hands and feet are cut off, I rely on the Dharma nature and look at the sentient beings who cut off my body. Ocean of Intelligence, in this way, when a Bodhisattva with skillful means cuts off his body, the practice of the six perfections will be perfected. Ocean of Intelligence, how does a Bodhisattva with skillful means perfect the practice of the six perfections when he cuts off his body? Whoever abandons the body, completely gives the body, and does not cling to the body, this is his perfection of generosity. Whoever, when cutting off the body, pervades all sentient beings with love, and is not robbed by feelings, this is his perfection of discipline. Whoever, when completely cutting off the body, endures for the sake of liberating those who cut off his body, without leaving a wound in his heart, and shows the power of patience, this is his perfection of patience. With diligence, he does not abandon the desire for omniscience, and also increases the power of the mind, and also completely abides in samsara, and also connects the boundaries, and also begins to practice the roots of virtue, this is his perfection of diligence. Whenever the body is destroyed, he does not forget the precious mind of generating omniscience, and contemplates Bodhi, and separately thinks about tranquility and extreme tranquility, this is his perfection of meditation. Whoever, when cutting off the body, separately regards the body as grass, walls, trees, stones, cataracts, and makes the body enter the Dharma nature of illusion, in reality it is impermanent, in reality it is suffering, in reality it is selfless, in reality it is peaceful, thus thinking of the body, this is his perfection of wisdom. Ocean of Intelligence, in this way, when a Bodhisattva with skillful means cuts off his body, the practice of the six perfections will be perfected, and he will not regress from the Great Vehicle, this is the Bodhisattva's patience with the harm to the body. Ocean of Intelligence, what is the Bodhisattva's patience with the harm of language? Whoever accepts all evil words, insults, threats, and
