It is pleasing to behold, appearing like a heavenly abode, a place where countless beings abide. Ananda, at that time, at that moment, such sutras as these will be despised and abandoned by many, disagreeing with many, forgotten by many, becoming a time of great and unbearable fear. At times of frequent droughts and heavy rains, at times when no rain falls, at times when rain falls out of season, at times when snakes appear, at times when hail falls, at times when famine occurs, at times when wrong views prevail, at times when incorrect views are rampant, at times when non-Buddhist secret mantras are widely sought, at times when the enlightenment of the Buddha is utterly destroyed. Seven thousand Bodhisattvas, driven from towns, cities, villages, regions, royal palaces, and lands, together with the Dharma speaker Flower Moon Beauty, reside and dwell in the forest called All-Good, teaching these monks this Dharani Dharma discourse. Ananda, that forest is filled with various flowers blooming in all seasons, with ears of grain, vines, and fruits, resembling a wish-fulfilling tree, filled with various kinds of trees, and the ground is adorned with various shapes, colors, seeds, and sprouts. Various rocks and stones are beautiful and immaculate, wide and high, adorned with golden mountains, and beautiful. Accomplished mantra holders, Gandharvas, humans or sages, and non-humans dwell there, with many beings of great form and color and various forms dwelling there. Many Buddhas reside there. Like a pleasure garden, All-Good, a sacred forest of All-Good that is auspicious and in harmony with yoga, those Bodhisattvas diligently practice yoga and abide there. Furthermore, Ananda, the Dharma speaker Flower Moon Beauty, having gone alone to a solitary place, entered into inner perfect concentration, and with a pure divine eye surpassing human perception, saw many Bodhisattvas, a myriad of myriads, cultivating roots of virtue, coming here from various Buddha-fields.

If one hears and obtains these Dharani Dharma categories, one will not regress from the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. If one does not hear and obtain these Dharani Dharma categories, one will see regression from the Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. Then, the Dharma speaker Flower Moon Face, mindful and aware, arose from that Samadhi and went to where the great assembly of Bodhisattvas was, and having arrived, spoke these words to the great assembly of Bodhisattvas: Noble sons, I am going! I will go to towns, cities, suburbs, regions, villages, and around the royal palace, and teach the Dharma to sentient beings. Then, those great assemblies of Bodhisattvas said these words to the Dharma speaker Flower Moon Face: You should not go from this forest to towns, cities, suburbs, regions, villages, and around the royal palace. Why? Because the time has come when many monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen with excessive pride abandon the true Dharma. If they kill the one with life, that would not be good. The one with life is very beautiful, with a good appearance, pleasing to look at, possessing the first youth, being in the prime of life, with a complexion like pure, excellent gold. The forehead is adorned with a white hair between the eyebrows like the color of a conch shell, the moon, and a white jasmine flower. The hair and topknot are dark blue and coiled into braids, so if a king or a minister of the king, or others like them, with minds overcome by jealousy and stinginess, kill you with a malicious heart, that would not be good. Then, the Dharma speaker Flower Moon Face said to the great assembly of Bodhisattvas: If I protect myself, I will not be able to protect the teachings of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who have passed, have not come, and are now present. Having said this, at that time he spoke these verses: Abiding in this perception of self, one cannot protect this teaching. In the unpleasant future time,

This is the great adornment of the Bodhi teachings. Whoever completely abandons all thoughts of self-grasping, Towards these sentient beings, individuals, places of speech, and Forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and Tactile objects, abandoning them is protecting the teachings. For billions of kalpas, as many as the sands of the Ganges, With joyful minds, with food and drink, With umbrellas, banners, and garlands of lamps, Serving billions of Buddhas. Whoever, when the sacred Dharma is utterly destroyed, And the Sugata's teachings are about to decline, Practices a single precept day and night, This merit is far more excellent than that. When the supreme Dharma of the excellent individuals Is about to be destroyed, whoever meditates on equanimity, That one has not honored the Victorious Ones, Nor has that one made images of the guides. You, for your own happiness, Thoroughly protect yourselves. You are always dwelling in loving-kindness, Be mindful of this Vinaya. Unmixed, pure, and stainless, Righteously guard the precepts. Whoever's precepts are stainless, Is protecting the praises of the Buddhas, That one has made images of All the Sugatas who have appeared in the past. That one has protected all beings. The assembly of beings is the adornment of Bodhi, Whoever guards the stainless precepts, Praised by the Buddhas of the past? Those ones also lead many sentient beings From the hells of sentient beings and from sins. Give the supreme Dharma, the precious gift, And always guard patience. Residing in solitude, skilled in Samadhi, And also meditate on gentleness and suppleness. In all ways, without engaging in disputes, Practice this supreme peaceful conduct. I, for the sake of protecting all sentient beings, Shall go to cities and royal palaces. The one who holds great wisdom, the supreme of noble beings, When that righteous one goes to that place, Some will even grasp his feet, And in compassion, they will weep and shed tears. Wise ones, with great wisdom, do not retreat, These trees, with gentle, pleasing, and beautiful sounds, Look at them and realize them, Guard yourselves and do not retreat. Those guides of the ten powers of the past also, Those whose senses are pacified and extremely tamed, In forests, rocks, and on mountaintops
