The mother said: After cooking it in broth and making it into food, it should be well given as alms, and also smeared with blood. How can the monk be liberated from this black flame? If the ritual is not performed quickly, and no herbs are used, this monk will soon face death because of this disease. Giving up one's own flesh and blood, which sentient being in the three realms, which wise person, seeing this, would still dwell in the body? I heard among the retinue of the consorts that not a single woman said she would give alms. Although I pity that monk and also pity myself, I gave up flesh and blood for the sake of enlightenment. Those who seek enlightenment, peace, and freedom from sorrow do not cling to and rely on the body. I have no attachment to myself, not even a speck of dust. Even if I give myself up, there is no displeasure in my heart. The retinue of the consorts, hearing those words, all became as if in a daze. No one was willing to do those things. Then this thought arose in my mind: I will give food to this monk, and I will also cut off my flesh, and smear it with blood. Cutting off flesh from my thigh, taking the flesh and blood, I peeled the skin of the flesh, and cooked various delicious dishes. For that sick monk, the food of human flesh, and the smearing with blood, etc., I offered before my father. Lord of men, please listen to my words. Because I could not find human flesh, I cut off flesh from my thigh, made it into food, and offered it to this speaker of Dharma. For the sake of unsurpassed enlightenment, I did these great deeds with my own body. This monk was also liberated, without discomfort. My merit is immeasurable. The king said to that daughter: Daughter, for the sake of healing, how did you cut off your own flesh from your body, did your body not feel pain? The king's daughter, intelligent and fearless, then said: King, lord of the land, please listen. The ripening of karma is inconceivable, please listen to those and understand them as they are. Father, because of doing sinful deeds, sentient beings will fall into unbearable hells, and after having no flesh, flesh will grow again. See, the result of karma is inconceivable.

The sinful deeds caused flesh and blood to disappear, In an instant, flesh and blood can reappear, From virtuous deeds and devout faith, What need is there to mention the birth of flesh and blood? Cutting flesh, I have no pain, Shedding blood, I have no wavering. Even if all my flesh is cut off, There is no wound or defect in the Dharma body. I generated supreme joy in the Dharma, Cutting flesh from my own thigh, I generously gave. I have no wounds or suffering, My body has also returned to its former state. Such a speaker of Dharma like this, Even in a hundred paths, appears in Jambudvipa (the Southern Continent, referring to the world we live in). Like the Udumbara flower, It appears occasionally in many billions of kalpas. Just as the river of Jambudvipa (the Southern Continent, referring to the world we live in) shines with gold, Living beings never tire of watching, Similarly, such a speaker of Dharma, Gods and humans never know satisfaction from seeing. People drink clear water that quenches thirst, The torment of thirst disappears. Similarly, these wise speakers of Dharma, With the nectar of Dharma, they eliminate the desires of beings. To this unpleasant, sick monk, I also generously gave flesh and blood. The speaker of Dharma is the nectar that extinguishes flames, I made offerings praising the Buddha. Having heard much and possessing conduct, For holding this sacred samadhi, Like this, I gave up my own flesh, May I also attain these Dharmas. Just as the best incense is fragrant and pleasing, Like that of Eucommia and red sandalwood, The pure fragrance wafts in all ten directions, The fragrance of the speaker of Dharma is also the same. Just as Mount Meru shines brightly in all directions, Beautiful in every way, pleasing to see, Shining brightly and illuminating in all directions, Similarly, this speaker of Dharma is like Mount Meru. Just as some stupas are damaged, They are repaired and rebuilt by wise men, People generate faith in that stupa, Thus, repairing it is also its cause. Similarly, the sick stupa of Dharma, With reverence for the Dharma, with one's own flesh and blood, With anointment, one is liberated. I lit a lamp in Jambudvipa (the Southern Continent, referring to the world we live in), If this monk reaches the time of death, In Jambudvipa (the Southern Continent, referring to the world we live in), the sound of samadhi, Will also disappear forever for beings. Revived this one.
