Those who are attached to gain and respect have killed thousands of monks who uphold such sutras. Young man, at that time, there was a king named Wisdom Power who ruled Jambudvipa, fully believed in the holy Dharma, and had perfect aspirations from the past. Young man, also at that time, in this Jambudvipa, there was a monk named True Wisdom who held this samadhi, a speaker of Dharma, who went to the palace of that king, became a virtuous friend, wanting to benefit, compassionate, and wholeheartedly thinking of him.

A disease that was difficult to treat and for which medicine was scarce arose, and the doctors gave up on treating it. Then, King Yeshe Tob (ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་), together with his queen's retinue, princes, princesses, and attendants, upon learning that the monk was ill, wept bitterly and shed tears. Eighty thousand women, along with the people of towns and cities, the countryside, suburbs, and local people, astrologers, ministers, great ministers, gatekeepers, and attendants, all upon hearing that the monk was ill, wept bitterly and shed tears, crying out, 'This monk is about to die!' In the time of that youth, King Yeshe Tob (ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་) had a goddess who was related to the blue-black goddess. She followed the king and appeared in a dream, saying, 'Great King, if you smear this monk's black, fiery carbuncles with fresh, unrotten human flesh and blood, and prepare various dishes from fresh, unrotten human flesh and offer them to him, this monk will recover from this disease.' Then, King Yeshe Tob (ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་སྟོབས་), after that night had passed, awoke from his sleep and came into the midst of the queen's retinue, and recounted the dream to the queen's retinue, saying, 'I had such a dream.' After recounting it and making them aware, neither from the house of women where that youth was, nor from the king's palace, was anyone willing to offer that remedy to the monk. The king's daughter, Yeshe Den (ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྡན་), also had the same dream, and upon waking, went into the midst of the queen's retinue and told the dream to her mother and attendants, but still no one was willing to offer that remedy to the monk. Then, the king's daughter, Yeshe Den (ཡེ་ཤེས་ལྡན་), felt joy, satisfaction, great happiness, devotion, and peace of mind, and endeavored to do this: 'I will cut off these remedies from my body and offer fresh blood and flesh, as has been said. In the king's palace, I am the youngest and smallest of all, and my actions of body, speech, and mind are not completely defiled by afflictions, completely afflicted.
