Then the compassionate one always came before him. The victorious one, possessing power, generated great reverence. The lord of men prostrated at his feet. At that time, he sat before the one possessing the ten powers. Greatly rejoicing, he joined his ten fingers in a gesture of reverence. Having fully realized the purity of his conduct, He went beyond the power of the senses. The supreme among men, the victorious one, knowing his aspiration, Spoke this sacred samadhi to him. When that king heard this profound meaning, An unparalleled joy of the noble ones arose within him. He abandoned all four continents, Having forsaken desire, he went forth from home. "I will become a victor," also for the sake of enlightenment. When the king abandoned his land and went forth, All the people of this Jambudvipa, Having completely renounced the qualities of desire, went forth. At that time, the qualities of the ten powers were vast, Diligent nuns and many monks. At that time, without plowing or sowing, grass grew, And even the gods served and revered him. The three saffron-colored Dharma robes appeared, With fine mesh, well-sewn, and unparalleled, Immaculate, dust-free, and adorned with gold, Born from the power of the Buddha's qualities and merit. Young one, look! That supreme king also, Having completely abandoned all lands, went forth, In the time of decline, many sentient beings, Even with very little enjoyment, do not abandon their homes. Many wooden yokes and bonds are broken. They endure scolding, reproaches, suffering, displeasure, And many punishments from their lamas. With very little enjoyment, there is no food or clothing at home. Life is very short and there is no wealth. They are very timid and have no power of merit. They are unskilled and do not know the crafts. They become poor and have no wealth at home. Impure and defiled, they are attached to other women. They are jealous and very miserly. Possessing afflictions, they do not abide in the proper conduct, Yet they say, "We will become Buddhas." Those who deceive with their tongues and act recklessly, "I am rich, I give worldly Dharma and wealth." Those who harm, pretend to be virtuous, and are deceitful, They say, "We will become Buddhas." They kill others, bind them, and delight in tormenting. They are immoral, wicked, and have hateful minds. They are ungrateful, divisive, Abide in harming others, They say, "We are showing the conduct of bodhisattvas." From what does that arise?
