Having been opened and shown without proofreading, it becomes beneficial to all beings such as gods, humans, asuras, gandharvas, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, etc. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, the noble and glorious king: "Good, good! Son of good family, you have paid close attention. Listen well. I shall explain and elucidate to you by what causes and conditions those who are not liberated are not liberated, by what causes and conditions those who are not liberated are liberated, by what causes and conditions those who are liberated are not liberated, and by what causes and conditions those who are liberated are liberated. By what cause and what condition are those who are not liberated not liberated? Son of good family, 'not liberated' refers to the great Nirvana. Ordinary beings are not liberated because they are together with attachment, hatred, and ignorance, their actions of body and speech are completely impure, they hold all unexamined things, the four root downfalls are broken, they slander the extremely vast sutras, they engage in wrong livelihood, and they commit the five heinous crimes. Therefore, it is called 'not liberated and not liberated.' Son of good family, by what cause and what condition are those who are not liberated liberated? 'Not liberated and liberated' refers to the great Nirvana. In what way are they liberated? It is by completely abandoning attachment, hatred, ignorance, and evil deeds of body and speech, not holding unexamined things, the four root downfalls are not broken, not slandering the extremely vast sutras, not engaging in wrong livelihood, and not committing the five heinous crimes. Therefore, it is called 'not liberated and liberated.' The stream-enterer has passed through eighty million kalpas. The once-returner has passed through sixty million kalpas. The non-returner has passed through forty million kalpas. The Arhat has passed through twenty million kalpas. The Pratyekabuddha has passed through ten thousand kalpas. Therefore, it is called 'not liberated and liberated.' Son of good family, by what cause and what condition are those who are liberated not liberated? 'Liberated' refers to existence.

There are five bonds. All sentient beings are always bound by immeasurable afflictions, seeking opportunities from all sides, and revolving again and again, just like a wheel turning, unable to escape. This is not called "going." Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas are completely severed, so it is called "not going." To tame sentient beings, showing these appearances, it is also called "going." Son of good family, by what cause and what condition is it called "going and going"? What is called "going" is the twenty-five existences. From vulgar people to those who have entered the stream, and even to those who return only once, driven by the causes and conditions of afflictions, it is called "going and going." Son of good family, unheard and heard is also like this, there is unheard and heard, there is unheard and not heard, there is heard and unheard, there is heard and heard. So, how is it called unheard and heard? Son of good family, what is called unheard is the Great Nirvana. Why is it said to be unheard? Because it is not conditioned, not sound, and unspeakable. How is it called heard? Hearing the name, such as permanence, bliss, self, and purity, this is unheard and heard. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, universally appearing High Noble Glorious King, said to the Bhagavan: World Honored One, as the World Honored One said, Great Nirvana is not to be heard, why is it said that permanence, bliss, self, and purity are to be heard? World Honored One, why is that? Cutting off afflictions is called Nirvana, if offering is not called Nirvana, then, the nature of Nirvana was originally non-existent, and only exists now. Like worldly dharmas, originally non-existent, and only existing now, it will become an impermanent dharma. For example, pottery and so on, originally non-existent, and only existing now, after existing it will become non-existent again, so it is called impermanent. Nirvana is also like this, why is it said to be permanent and blissful?

And, self and, completely pure. Thus it is said. Furthermore, whatever is accomplished by the cause arranged by the Blessed One in any way is called impermanent. Nirvana is also like that, so it is a category of impermanence. What are the causes and conditions for impermanence? For example, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the six perfections, the four immeasurables, contemplation on bones, breathing, the six mindfulnesses, the destruction of the six great elements, etc., all of these become the causes and conditions for achieving Nirvana, so they are called impermanent. Furthermore, Blessed One, existence is called impermanent. If Nirvana is existence, then it should also be a category of impermanence. How did the Blessed One say in the previous prophecy? Hearers, solitary Buddhas, and Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, all exist in Nirvana, thus it is said. Because the reason is like that, it will be called impermanent. Furthermore, Blessed One, all visible dharmas are impermanent. The Blessed One previously said that seeing Nirvana will cut off all defilements. Thus it is said. Furthermore, Blessed One, for example, empty space is equal for all sentient beings, without obstruction or obscuration, so it is called permanent. If Nirvana is also permanent and equal, why do sentient beings have the distinction of having attained and not attained? Nirvana is also like that, if it is not equal for all sentient beings, it cannot be called permanent. Blessed One, for example, if there is one enemy among a hundred people, if that enemy is killed, then many people will be happy. If Nirvana is also an equal dharma, then if one person attains it, many people should attain it. If one person cuts off defilements, many people should also cut off defilements. If it is not like that, why is it called permanent? For example, if someone respects, offers, serves, and honors a king, a prince, parents, a teacher, and a lama, they will attain happiness, but that cannot be called permanent. Nirvana is also li
