་པད་མོ་བགས་ཀྱིས་ཕྱེ་བ་ལྟར་གྱུར་ཏོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ང་དེའི་ཚེ་དེའི་དུས་ན་གཞན་ཅི་ཡང་མ་མཐོང་གི ། སྲིན་པོ་འབའ་ཞིག་མཐོང་བས་ཡང་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཕྱེད་པོ་འདི་སྲིན་པོས་མ་ སྨྲས་སྙམ་སེམས་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཡང་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་ཏེ། འདིས་སྨྲས་པ་ནི་མ་ཡིན་པ་སྙམ། དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། འདི་ལྟར་བྱད་གཟུགས་ཤིན་ཏུ་མི་སྡུག་ལ་འཇིགས་སུ་རུང་བ་ནི་འདི་ལྟ་བུར་མི་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར་རོ། །གང་གིས་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་འདི་ཐོས་ནས་འཇིགས་སུ་རུང་བའི་མི་སྡུག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་བྲལ་བའི་རིགས་ཏེ། ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ན་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་བྱད་གཟུགས་ཅན་གྱིས་འདི་སྐད་དུ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་སྨྲས་པར་གྱུར། དེ་ནི་མེའི་ནང་ནས་པད་མོ་སྐྱེ་མི་སྲིད་ལ། ཉི་མས་གདུངས་པའི་འོད་ལས་ཆུ་གྲང་མོ་འབྱུང་མི་སྲིད་སྙམ་སེམས་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ང་ཡང་དེའི་ཚེ་ན་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་བདག་ནི་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཤེས་པ་མེད་པ་སྟེ་གལ་ཏེ་ན་སྲིན་པོ་འདི་སྔོན་འདས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་དང་ཕྲད་དེ། སངས་རྒྱས་ལས་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཕྱེད་པོ་འདི་ཐོས་སམ་སུས་ཤེས། ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཕྱེད་པོའི་དོན་འདི་དྲི་བར་བྱའོ་སྙམ་དུ་བསམས་ནས་སྲིན་པོ་དེ་ལ་བསྙེན་ཏེ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ལེགས་སོ། །སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཁྱོད་སྔོན་འདས་པའི་འཇིགས་པ་དང་བྲལ་བས་གསུངས་པའི་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཕྱེད་པོ་འདི་སུ་ལས་ཐོས། སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡིད་བཞིན་གྱི་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ཕྱེད་པོ་འདི་ག་ལས་རྙེད། སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཕྱེད་པོ་འདིའི་དོན་འདི་ནི་འདས་པ་དང་། མ་འོངས་པ་དང་། ད་ལྟར་བཞུགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཡང་དག་པའི་ལམ་ཡིན་ཏེ། འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་གནས་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ཚད་མེད་པ་ནི་རྟག་ཏུ་ལྟ་བའི་དྲ་བས་ཀུན་ཏུ་གླགས་པས་ན་ནམ་དུ་ཡང་མུ་སྟེགས་ཅན་གྱི་ཆོས་ལས་འཇིག་རྟེན་ལས་འདས་པ་སྟོབས་བཅུ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཤིན་ཏུ་དཔའ་བས་གསུངས་པའི་སྟོང་པ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་དོན་འདི་མི་ཐོས་སོ། །རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ངས་དེ་ལ་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་དྲིས་པ་དང་། ཕྱིར་ང་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །བྲམ་ཟེ་ཆེན་པོ་ཁྱོད་ང་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་མ་འདྲི་ཤིག །དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། ཁོ་བོ་ཟས་མ་རྙེད་ནས་ཞག་མང་དུ་ལོན་ཏེ་གནས་ཀུན་ཏུ་བཙལ་ཀྱང་མ་རྙེད་པས། བཀྲེས་པ་དང་སྐོམ་པས་ཡོངས་སུ་གདུངས་ཏེ་སྔར་སྨྲས་པ་ཡང་མྱོས་བཞིན་དུ་སྨྲས་པར་ཟད་ཀྱི། དྲན་བཞིན་ནམ་ཤེས་བཞིན་ དུ་སྨྲས་པ་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ། གལ་ཏེ་བདག་གི་མཐུ་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས

说，就像莲花的花瓣被打开了一样。种姓之子，我在那时那刻什么也没看见，只看见一个罗刹，心想这半偈颂不是罗刹说的吧。又想，这肯定不是他说的。为什么呢？因为像这样外貌极其丑陋、令人恐惧的，不应该是这样的。听了这偈颂后，应该远离一切令人恐惧的丑陋，为什么像这样外貌的人会说出这样的偈颂呢？就像莲花不可能从火中生长出来，被太阳晒热的光芒中不可能产生凉水一样。种姓之子，我当时也想，我真是太无知了，也许这个罗刹以前遇到过佛，从佛那里听到了这半偈颂吧？谁知道呢？应该问问这半偈颂的意思，于是我靠近那个罗刹，这样说道：好啊！大丈夫，您从谁那里听到了这句您从过去无畏中说出的半偈颂？大丈夫，您从哪里得到了这半颗如意宝珠？大丈夫，这半偈颂的意义，是过去、未来和现在一切佛世尊的真正道路啊！居住在世间的无量众生，总是被邪见之网所束缚，所以永远无法从外道之法中听到这超越世间、具有十力、极其勇猛的佛所说的空性之义。种姓之子，我这样问他之后，他又对我说：大婆罗门，你不要这样问我。为什么呢？因为我很久没找到食物了，到处寻找也没找到，被饥渴所折磨，之前说的话也只是像醉了一样说的，不是清醒或有意识地说出来的。如果我用我的力量……

He said, "It was as if the petals of a lotus had opened." Son of good family, at that time and at that moment, I saw nothing else. Seeing only a Rakshasa, I thought, 'This half-verse was not spoken by the Rakshasa.' Again, I thought, 'It is not he who spoke it.' Why is that? Because one whose appearance is so extremely ugly and terrifying would not be like this. Having heard this half-verse, one should be free from all terrifying ugliness. Why would one with such an appearance utter such a verse? It is as impossible as a lotus growing from fire, or cool water coming from the heat of the sun's rays.' Son of good family, at that time I also thought, 'I am truly ignorant. Perhaps this Rakshasa has met a Buddha in the past and heard this half-verse from the Buddha? Who knows? I should ask the meaning of this half-verse.' So I approached the Rakshasa and said this: 'Excellent! Great man, from whom did you hear this half-verse that you spoke from past fearlessness? Great man, from where did you find this half of a wish-fulfilling jewel? Great man, the meaning of this half-verse is the true path of all Buddhas, the Bhagavat, of the past, future, and present! The immeasurable beings dwelling in the world are always ensnared by the net of views, so they never hear from the non-Buddhist teachings this meaning of emptiness spoken by the one who has transcended the world, who possesses the ten powers, and who is exceedingly brave.' Son of good family, after I asked him that, he said to me in return: 'Great Brahmin, do not ask me such questions. Why is that? Because I have not found food for many days, and although I have searched everywhere, I have not found it. I am tormented by hunger and thirst, and what I said before was merely spoken as if drunk, not spoken consciously or knowingly. If by my power...'

་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་འཕུར་ཏེ་བྱང་གི་སྒྲ་མི་སྙན་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་ལྷའི་གནས་ཀྱི་བར་དུ་ཕྱིན་ཀྱང་བདག་གི་ཟས་མ་རྙེད་པས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ངས་དུས་དེའི་ཚེ་ན་སྲིན་པོ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ང་ལ་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་འདི་རྫོགས་པར་སྨྲས་ན། བདག་ཚེ་གཅིག་ཏུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སློབ་མར་དམ་འཆའོ། །སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ་འདི་ནི་ཚིག་ཀྱང་མ་རྫོགས། དོན་ཡང་མ་རྫོགས་ན་ཁྱོད་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་རྫོགས་པར་མི་སྨྲ། ཟང་ཟིང་གི་སྦྱིན་པ་ནི་རྫོགས་པའི་མཐའ་ཡོད་ཀྱི། ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྦྱིན་པ་ནི་རྫོགས་པའི་མཐའ་མེད་དོ། །རྫོགས་པའི་མཐའ་མེད་མོད་ཀྱི། ཕན་པ་དང་བདེ་བའི་དོན་དུ་ཆེའོ། ། བདག་གིས་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་ཕྱེད་པོ་འདི་ཐོས་ནས་ངོ་མཚར་དུ་ཐེ་ཙོམ་དུ་གྱུར་གྱིས་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་འདི་རྫོགས་པར་སྨྲས་ཏེ། བདག་གི་ཐེ་ཙོམ་བཅད་ན་ཚེ་གཅིག་ཏུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སློབ་མ་བྱའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །སྲིན་པོས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཤེས་པ་ནི་ལྷག་ཆེས་པས་ཁྱོད་བདག་གི་དོན་ནི་ཆེར་འཛིན་གྱི། ཁོ་བོའི་བསམ་པ་ནི་མི་སེམས་པ་ལྟ། ཁོ་བོ་ནི་ཤིན་ཏུ་བཀྲེས་པས་གདུངས་ནས་སྨྲ་མི་ཕོད་དོ། །ངས་ཡང་དེ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ཁྱོད་ཟས་སུ་ཅི་ཞིག་ཟ་ཞེས་དྲིས་ན། སྲིན་པོ་དེས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་ང་ལ་མ་འདྲི་ཤིག །ཅི་སྟེ་ངས་སྨྲས་ན་མི་མང་པོ་དག་ཤིན་ཏུ་སྐྲག་པར་འགྱུར་རོ། །ངས་ཡང་དེ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་དྲིས་སོ། །ཡུལ་སྟོང་པ་འདིར་མི་སུ་ཡང་མེད་ལ་ང་ནི་ཁྱོད་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་ན། ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་མི་སྨྲ། སྲིན་པོ་དེས་ཡང་སྨྲས་པ། ཁོ་བོ་ཟས་སུ་ནི་མིའི་ཤ་རྗེན་པ་དང་། ཁྲག་དྲོན་པོ་འཐུང་སྟེ། ཁོ་བོ་ནི་བསོད་ནམས་ཆུངས་པས་ཟས་སུ་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་ཟ་ཡང་གནས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་མ་རྙེད་དོ། །འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་མི་དག་ཤིན་ཏུ་མང་མོད་ཀྱི། ཐམས་ཅད་བསོད་ནམས་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཤ་སྟག་ལ། ལྷས་ཀྱང་བསྲུངས་པས་ན་བདག་ནི་དེ་དག་གསོད་ཅིང་ཟ་བའི་མཐུ་མེད་དོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ་ངས་དེ་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ཁྱོད་ཚིགས་སུ་བཅད་པ་འདི་དོན་དང་བཅས་སུ་རྫོགས་ པར་སྨྲོས་ཤིག་དང་ངའི་ལུས་འདི་ཁྱོད་ལ་ཡོངས་སུ་གཏང་བར་བྱའོ། །སྐྱེས་བུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཅི་སྟེ་ཁོ་བོའི་ལུས་འདི་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཡང་ཅིར་ཡང་དགོས་པ་བྱེད་ཀྱི། སྟག་དང་། སྤྱང་ཀི་དང་། འཕར་བ་དང་། བྱ་རྒོད་དང་། བྱན་ལག་དང་། ཁྭ་ལ་སོགས་པས་ཟ་བར་འགྱུར་ཏེ། སྤུ་ཉག་མ་གཅིག་ཙམ་གྱི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱང་སྐྱེ་བར་མི་འགྱུར་གྱི།

我飞向天空，去了北方的难听之声，甚至到达了天界，也没有找到我的食物，所以才这样说啊。种姓之子，我那时对罗刹这样说：大丈夫，如果你能为我完整地说出这偈颂，我愿一生都做你的学生。大丈夫，你所说的这偈颂，词句也不完整，意义也不完整，你为什么不完整地说呢？物质的布施有穷尽之时，而佛法的布施没有穷尽之时。虽然没有穷尽，但为了利益和安乐的缘故，它更为重大。我听到这半偈之后，惊奇而疑惑，如果你能完整地说出这偈颂，断除我的疑惑，我愿一生都做你的学生。罗刹说：你的智慧非常卓越，你非常重视我的事情。我的想法就像不是人想的那样。我非常饥饿，痛苦得说不出话来。我又对它这样说：你吃什么食物？我这样问后，那个罗刹说：你不要问我！如果我说了，很多人会非常害怕的。我又对它这样问道：在这空旷的地方，一个人也没有，而且我不害怕你，为什么不说呢？那个罗刹又说：我吃的食物是生的血肉，喝的是温热的血。我是因为福德浅薄，即使吃这样的食物，在任何地方也找不到。世间的人虽然非常多，但全部都是具有福德的，而且也被神所守护，所以我没有能力杀害和吞食他们。种姓之子，我对它这样说：你把这偈颂连同意义完整地说出来，我就把我的身体完全布施给你。大丈夫，即使我的身体非常无用，也会被老虎、狼、狐狸、秃鹫、乌鸦等吃掉，连一根毫毛的福德也不会产生。

I flew into the sky and went to the unpleasant sound of the north, even reaching the heavenly realm, but I could not find my food, so I said that. Son of lineage, at that time I said this to the Rakshasa: Great man, if you can completely say this verse to me, I vow to be your student for life. Great man, what you said is not complete in words or meaning, why don't you say it completely? Material giving has an end, but Dharma giving has no end. Although it has no end, it is greater for the sake of benefit and happiness. After hearing this half verse, I was amazed and doubtful. If you can completely say this verse and cut off my doubts, I will be your student for life. The Rakshasa said: Your wisdom is very outstanding, and you value my affairs very much. My thoughts are not like those of humans. I am very hungry and suffering, so I cannot speak. I said to him again: What food do you eat? After I asked this, the Rakshasa said: Do not ask me! If I say it, many people will be very afraid. I asked him again: In this empty place, there is no one, and I am not afraid of you, why don't you speak? The Rakshasa said again: The food I eat is raw human flesh and blood, and I drink warm blood. Because I have little merit, even if I eat such food, I cannot find it anywhere. Although there are many people in the world, they are all full of merit and are protected by the gods, so I have no power to kill and devour them. Son of lineage, I said to him: If you completely say this verse together with its meaning, I will completely give my body to you. Great man, even if my body is very useless, it will be eaten by tigers, wolves, foxes, vultures, crows, etc., and not even a single hair's worth of merit will be generated.
