Is skilled in the methods of the Victorious One. When there is disdain for the inferior vehicle, and joy arises in sentient beings towards it, at that time, the noble truth of suffering, the world's guide teaches, not speaking of others. Those whose childish minds do not understand, and do not see the root of suffering, to them also, the paths should be shown. Suffering arises from craving, and the cessation of existence, which is impermanent, is my third truth of cessation. By what other means can a person be liberated? By meditating on the paths, one becomes liberated. From what do they become liberated, Shariputra? They are liberated from clinging to non-existence, but they are still not liberated from everything. The guide says that they have not passed beyond sorrow, therefore, he does not speak of liberation to them, because they have not attained the supreme and excellent enlightenment. I was born to bring happiness to the world, I, the king of Dharma, desire it thus. Finally, what I have said today, Shariputra, this treasury of my Dharma, for the benefit of the world including the gods, should be proclaimed in all directions and intermediate directions. When you teach, whatever sentient being rejoices and speaks words of agreement, and takes this sutra upon their head, you should embrace that person so that they do not turn back. Whoever has faith in this sutra, sees the Tathagatas of the past, and has also paid homage to them, and has also heard such Dharma. Whoever has faith in what I have said, also sees you and me, and also sees all of my monastic community of monks, and all of these Bodhisattvas. Having known this through clairvoyance, I have taught this. This sutra intoxicates foolish beings. There is no realm of hearers in this, there is no activity of solitary realizers in this. Shariputra, if you do not have faith, what need to mention my hearers? These follow me because they have faith in me, they do not have the wisdom of individual self-realization. Do not speak of this to those who are arrogant and conceited, and those who have entered into wrong views. Ordinary people are always intoxicated with desire, and because of ignorance, they abandon the teaching of the Dharma. The way the Buddha always abides well in the world, this skillful means of mine is completely abandoned, and frowning, they turn away from the vehicle.

Having abandoned. Hear here about the unbearable ripening of that! Whether I am abiding, Or even having passed into sorrowless state. Having thoroughly abandoned such a sutra, And desiring to hate those monks as well, From me hear about the ripening of that! Those, having died and transmigrated from humans, into Avici, Will thoroughly abide for a full kalpa. Thereafter, even through many intermediate kalpas, Children having died and transmigrated, will fall there again. Whenever they die and transmigrate from sentient being hell, From then on, they will also be born as animals. Having become very emaciated foxes and dogs, And becoming the basis for others to play, There, those will become black in color. Filled with pus, wounds, and mange, Even their fur will fall out, and they will become very feeble. Because of hatred towards this supreme enlightenment of mine, Among living beings, they will always be despised, Having been struck by stones and clods, they will be very distressed. There and there, they will be threatened with sticks, And having become hungry and thirsty, their bodies will also become withered. Whoever, with the mind of a child, abandons the way of the Buddha, Will also become mares and donkeys, Thinking about thoughts of food, Having loads placed upon them, they will be beaten with a hundred sticks. Again, those will become foxes there, Becoming very unsightly, blind, and lame. The youths of the village will thoroughly torment them, Those children will be struck with stones and clods. Thereafter, those with the minds of children, having died and transmigrated, Having become creatures with emaciated bodies, Equal to five hundred leagues, They will be very foolish, deluded, rolling and tumbling. Because of abandoning such a sutra as this, Those will become legless belly-crawlers. Because they are eaten by many hundreds of thousands of living beings, Those will experience very unbearable feelings. Whenever they obtain a human body, Because they do not have faith in this sutra of mine, Then, those will become lame with black bodies. Hunchbacked, blind, deaf, foolish, and despised. Because they do not have faith in the enlightenment of the Buddha, In the world, they will not be trusted, From their mouths, the stench of decay will never cease. The body of that one will be harmed by yaksha demons, Poor, doing the bidding of others, Feeble, always being employed by others. Those will have many diseases and harms, Having become without protectors, they will wander in the world. Then, whomever that one approaches, Those will befall that one.
