་ལྟ་བུའི་མཆི་མ་བྱུང་སྟེ། ངས་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བའི་སེམས་ཅན་དེ་དག་ལ་དེ་ལྟ་བུའི་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ་སྐྱེས་ནས་ སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བའི་སེམས་ཅན་དེ་དག་ལ་གྲོགས་པོ་དག་དེ་ལྟར་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིག །ངས་ཁྱེད་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་འདི་ལས་ཡོངས་སུ་ཐར་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་དབུགས་ཕྱུང་ངོ་། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ངས་རྨི་ལམ་ཉིད་ན་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བ་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་དེ་དག་གཅིག་ཏུ་བསོགས་ནས་ལག་པ་གཡས་པས་མགོ་ལ་བྱུགས་སོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བ་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་དེ་དག་གི་སྤྱི་བོར་ལག་པ་གཡས་པ་བཞག་མ་ཐག་པ་དང་། སེམས་ཅན་ཁྱེད་ངས་ཐར་བར་བྱས་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིག་ཅེས་ངས་དེ་སྐད་སྨྲས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བ་པའི་མེ་དེ་ཞི་བར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །སེམས་ཅན་དམྱལ་བ་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་སྐད་ཅིག་དེ་ཉིད་དང་། ཡུད་ཙམ་དེ་ཉིད་ལ་བདེ་བའི་ཚོར་བ་མྱོང་བར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ང་གཉིད་ཀྱིས་ལོག་པ་དེ་ཉིད་ལས་སད་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་མཆི་མ་དེ་གོས་ལས་བཙིར་ནས་བསགས་སོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པ་ན་ཡང་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོའི་ཆོས་དེ་ལྟ་བུ་དང་ལྡན་ན། ད་ལྟ་བླ་ན་མེད་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་མངོན་པར་རྫོགས་པར་སངས་རྒྱས་པ་ན་ལྟ་ཅི་སྨོས། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་རྣམ་གྲངས་འདིས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་འདི་ལྟར་རིག་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། ང་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པ་ན་ཆོས་གང་དག་བྱུང་བ་དེ་དག་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ལ་ཡང་མེད་ན་ཉན་ཐོས་རྣམས་དང་བྱིས་པ་སོ་སོའི་སྐྱེ་བོ་རྣམས་ལ་ལྟ་ག་ལ་ཡོད། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་སྔོན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པ་ན་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ་ཇི་ཙམ་ཞིག་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཚིག་ཏུ་བརྗོད་པས་ཀྱང་མཐར་ཕྱིན་པར་སླ་བ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ལྟ་བུའི་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་ཕན་པའི་དངོས་པོའི་སེམས་དང་ལྡན་པར་གྱུར་པ་ལ་ལྟོས། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་སྔོན་བྱུང་བ་འདས་པའི་དུས་ན་ཚོང་པ་མང་པོ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཕྱིར་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོར་ཞུགས་པ་དང་། དེ་དག་གི་གྲུ་ཆེན་པོ་ནོར་གྱིས་གང་བ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་དེ་ཉིད་དུ་ཞིག་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་ཚོང་པ་དེ་དག་གྲུ་ཞིག་པས་འཇིགས་སྐྲག་མི་དགའ་བར་གྱུར་ནས་སྲོག་གི་ཕྱིར་ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་སྤང་ལེབ་ལ་རྟེན་ཏེ་རྒལ། ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་ལག་པས་རྐྱལ། ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་འཆི་བའི་དུས་བྱས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ཡང་ཚོང་པ་ མང་པོ་དེའི་ནང་ན་གང་དེད་དཔོན་དུ་གྱུར་པ་དེ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་རྐྱལ་པས་རྐྱལ་ལོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ཡང་ཚོང་པ་ལྔ་ཞིག་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ

就像那样的眼泪流了下来。我对于地狱的众生生起了那样广大的慈悲心， 我对地狱的众生说：朋友们，不要这样害怕！我将使你们完全从这样巨大的痛苦中解脱出来！说完就叹了口气。阿难，我在梦中将地狱的众生聚集在一起，用右手抚摸他们的头。 阿难，就在我的右手放在地狱众生的头顶上，我说出“众生，我已救度了你们，不要害怕”的那一瞬间，地狱众生的火焰就熄灭了。 地狱的众生也在那一刹那，那一瞬间，感受到了安乐的感受。阿难，我从睡梦中醒来，就把眼泪从衣服上拧下来积攒起来了。 阿难，我行菩萨行的时候，尚且具有这样广大的慈悲之法，现在证得无上正等正觉成佛的时候，还用说吗？阿难，你应该用这种方式来理解：我行菩萨行的时候所产生的那些功德，即使是独觉佛也没有，更何况是声闻和凡夫俗子呢？阿难，如来往昔行菩萨行的时候，对于众生具有多么广大的慈悲心，那是用言语也难以穷尽的，看看他具有利益众生的事物之心吧！阿难，过去世的时候，许多商人为了珍宝而进入大海，他们装满珍宝的大船就在大海中沉没了。 于是，那些商人因为船沉没而感到恐惧和不快，为了活命，有些人依靠木板漂浮，有些人用手游泳，有些人面临死亡。当时，众多商人中担任领头人的那个人，也在大海中奋力游泳。 当时，还有五个商人也在大海中

Tears like that came forth. I felt such great compassion for those hell beings, I said to those hell beings, "Friends, do not be afraid like that! I shall completely liberate you from such great suffering!" And then I sighed. Ananda, in my dream, I gathered those hell beings together and stroked their heads with my right hand. Ananda, as soon as my right hand was placed on the heads of those hell beings, and as soon as I said, "Beings, I have liberated you, do not be afraid," the fire of those hell beings was extinguished. Those hell beings also experienced a feeling of happiness in that very instant, in that very moment. Ananda, as soon as I awoke from that sleep, I wrung the tears from my clothes and collected them. Ananda, when I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, I possessed such a great Dharma of compassion. What need is there to mention it now that I have manifestly awakened to the Unsurpassed, Perfectly Complete Enlightenment? Ananda, in this way you should understand this: Those qualities that arose when I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, even the Pratyekabuddhas do not possess them, let alone the Shravakas and ordinary childish beings. Ananda, consider how the Tathagata, when he was previously practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, possessed such great compassion for sentient beings, which is not easy to exhaust even with words, and how he became endowed with the mind of benefiting sentient beings. Ananda, in a past time, many merchants entered the great ocean for the sake of jewels, and their great ship, filled with treasures, sank in that very great ocean. Then, those merchants, terrified and displeased by the sinking of the ship, relied on planks to float for their lives, some swam with their hands, and some faced death. At that time, the one who had become the leader among those many merchants also swam in the great ocean by swimming. At that time, there were also five merchants in the great ocean

ས་ཁྱེར་བ་དེ་དག་དེད་དཔོན་དེ་ལ་ཀྱེ་དེད་དཔོན་མི་འཇིགས་པ་སྩོལ་ཅིག་ཅེས་འབོད་དོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་། དེད་དཔོན་དེས་ཚོང་པ་དེ་དག་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ཀྱེ་སྐྱེས་བུ་ཁྱེད་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིག །ངས་ཁྱེད་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་ལས་བདེ་བར་གདོན་ནོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེའི་ཚེ་དེད་དཔོན་དེའི་ལུས་ལ་མཚོན་རྣོན་པོ་ཞིག་ཀྱང་འཆང་སྟེ། དེ་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་མི་རོ་དང་ལྷན་ཅིག་མི་གནས་པས་ངེས་པར་བདག་གིས་བདག་གི་ལུས་སྲོག་དང་ཕྲལ་ཏེ་ཚོང་པ་འདི་དག་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་འདི་ལས་གདོན་ནོ་སྙམ་དུ་བསམས་ནས། དེས་ཚོང་པ་དེ་དག་བདག་གི་ལུས་ལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ལེགས་པར་ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་རྒྱབ་ཏུ་ཞོན། །ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་ཕྲག་པ་ལ་ཞོན། ཁ་ཅིག་ནི་བརླ་ལ་བཅར་ཏེ། རྩོལ་བ་ཆེན་པོ་བསྐྱེད་ནས་ལུས་དང་སེམས་ལ་སོ་སོར་བརྟག་པའི་མཐུ་བསྐྱེད་དེ་ཚོང་པ་དེ་དག་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་པ་བྱིན་ནས་སྙིང་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོས་ཡོངས་སུ་བསྒོས་པའི་སེམས་ཀྱིས་མཚོན་རྣོན་པོས་བདག་གི་སྲོག་བཅད་པ་དང་། དེ་མྱུར་བ་ཉིད་དུ་འཆི་བའི་དུས་བྱས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་དེ་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་རོ་དེ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོའི་ནང་ནས་སྐམ་ལ་བྱུང་ངོ་། །དེ་ནས་ཚོང་པ་ལྔ་པོ་དེ་དག་བདེ་ཞིང་དོན་གྲུབ་ནས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ལས་རྒལ་ཏེ་སླར་འཛམ་བུ་གླིང་དུ་བདེ་བར་ལྷགས་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེའི་ཚེ་དེའི་དུས་ན་དེད་དཔོན་དེ་གཞན་ཞིག་ཡིན་པ་སྙམ་དུ་ཁྱོད་ཐེ་ཚོམ་འམ་ཡིད་གཉིས་ཟ་ན་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལྟར་མི་བལྟའོ། །དེ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ང་ཉིད་དེའི་ཚེ་དེའི་དུས་ན་དེད་དཔོན་དུ་གྱུར་ཏོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དགེ་སློང་ལྔ་སྡེ་ནི་དེའི་ཚེ་དེའི་དུས་ན་ཚོང་པ་ལྔ་པོར་གྱུར་ཏེ། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེའི་ཚེ་ཡང་དགེ་སློང་ལྔ་པོ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ལས་བསྒྲལ་ཏོ། །ད་ཡང་ངས་འཁོར་བའི་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ལས་བསྒྲལ་ཏེ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་འཇིགས་པ་མེད་ཅིང་ཞི་བ་ལ་བཀོད་དོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་རྣམས་དཀའ་བ་ཇི་སྙེད་བྱེད་པ་དང་། ཡོན་ཏན་ཚད་མེད་པ་ཇི་སྙེད་དང་ལྡན་པ་ལ་ལྟོས། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་རྣམ་གྲངས་ འདིས་ཀྱང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་འདི་ལྟར་རིག་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་རྣམས་ཅི་འདྲ་བའི་ཡོན་ཏན་འདི་ལྟ་བུ་དག་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ལ་མེད་དོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་གལ་ཏེ་རང་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ལ་ངའི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ཡོད་དུ་ཟིན་ན་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དགྲ་བཅོམ་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་སུ

那些城市里的人们向船长呼喊道：‘船长啊，请赐予我们无畏吧！’ 具寿阿难陀，当他们这样说时，船长对那些商人这样说道：‘诸位，你们不要害怕！我将平安地把你们从这大海中救出。’ 具寿阿难陀，那时，船长的身上也带着一把锋利的剑。他心想：‘这大海不能与尸体共存，所以我必须将我的身体与生命分离，才能把这些商人从这大海中救出。’ 想到这里，他让那些商人非常稳妥地，有的骑在他的背上，有的骑在他的肩膀上，有的紧贴在他的大腿上。 他发起巨大的努力，生起身心各自观察的力量，给予那些商人无畏，以大慈悲完全摄受的心，用锋利的剑斩断了自己的生命，并迅速地结束了死亡的时刻。 然后，就在那一瞬间，那具尸体从大海中浮到了陆地上。 之后，那五个商人都平安且心愿达成，越过了大海，再次平安地抵达了赡部洲。 具寿阿难陀，那时，你是否怀疑或犹豫，认为那时的船长是另一个人呢？ 具寿阿难陀，你不应那样看。 那是为什么呢？ 具寿阿难陀，我本人在那时那刻就是那位船长。 具寿阿难陀，那五比丘在那时那刻就是那五个商人。 具寿阿难陀，那时我也将那五个比丘从大海中救了出来。 现在我也将他们从轮回的大海中救出，安置于无惧且寂静的涅槃之中。 具寿阿难陀，看看菩萨摩诃萨们所做的种种艰难，以及他们所具有的无量功德。 具寿阿难陀，你也应通过这种方式来理解，菩萨们具有的这种功德，是独觉们所没有的。 具寿阿难陀，如果独觉们拥有我的这些法，那么他们也会成为如来、应供、正等觉。

Those city dwellers called out to the captain, 'O captain, grant us fearlessness!' Venerable Ananda, when they said this, the captain said to those merchants, 'O gentlemen, do not be afraid! I will safely deliver you from this great ocean.' Venerable Ananda, at that time, the captain also carried a sharp sword on his body. He thought, 'This great ocean cannot coexist with a corpse, so I must separate my body from my life in order to deliver these merchants from this great ocean.' Thinking this, he had those merchants very securely, some riding on his back, some riding on his shoulders, some clinging to his thighs. He generated great effort, generated the power of examining body and mind separately, gave those merchants fearlessness, and with a mind completely possessed by great compassion, he cut off his own life with a sharp sword, and quickly brought about the moment of death. Then, in that instant, that corpse emerged from the great ocean onto the land. Then those five merchants were safe and their wishes were fulfilled, they crossed the great ocean and again safely arrived in Jambudvipa. Venerable Ananda, at that time, do you doubt or hesitate, thinking that the captain at that time was someone else? Venerable Ananda, you should not see it that way. Why is that? Venerable Ananda, I myself at that time was that captain. Venerable Ananda, the five monks were those five merchants at that time. Venerable Ananda, at that time I also delivered those five monks from the great ocean. Now I will also deliver them from the great ocean of samsara and place them in the fearless and peaceful Nirvana. Venerable Ananda, look at the many hardships that Bodhisattva Mahasattvas undertake, and the immeasurable qualities they possess. Venerable Ananda, you should also understand in this way that the Bodhisattvas possess such qualities that the Pratyekabuddhas do not have. Venerable Ananda, if the Pratyekabuddhas possessed my dharmas, then they too would become Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas.

་འགྱུར་བ་ཞིག་ན་གང་གི་ཕྱིར་དེ་དག་ལ་ཆོས་འདི་དག་མེད་པ་དེའི་ཕྱིར་དེ་དག་བླ་ན་མེད་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་མངོན་པར་རྫོགས་པར་འཚང་མི་རྒྱའོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེ་ལྟར་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ་སེམས་དཔའ་ཆེན་པོ་རྣམས་ནི་དཀའ་བ་བྱེད་ཅིང་། སྙིང་རྗེ་ཆེ་ལ་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་སྙིང་བརྩེ་བའོ། །དེ་ལ་མི་བླུན་པོ་ཁ་ཅིག་བླ་ན་མེད་པ་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་དང་བླ་ན་མེད་པའི་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདའ་བའི་ས་བོན་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར་སེམས་དང་བ་འགའ་ཡང་ང་ལ་མི་སྐྱེད་དོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ཉི་ཚེ་བ་བྱེད་པ་ནི་ཉི་ཚེ་བ་སྒྲུབ་ལ། ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པ་བྱེད་པ་ནི་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པ་སྒྲུབ་བོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ངའི་སྤྱོད་པ་གཞན་དག་ཀྱང་བསྟན་ཏེ། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ཐ་ན་སེམས་དང་བ་གཅིག་བསྐྱེད་པའི་དགེ་བའི་རྩ་བ་དང་ལྡན་པ་བསྐྱེད་པ་ཡང་དོན་མེད་པར་མི་འགྱུར་ན་གོང་མ་དག་ལྟ་ཅི་སྨོས། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་གང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ལ་བཞག་པའི་དགེ་བའི་རྩ་བ་གང་ཡིན་པ་ཐ་ན་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ་དམིགས་པའི་སེམས་གཅིག་བསྐྱེད་ན་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེ་དག་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱང་བདུད་རྩི་དང་མཚུངས་ཤིང་ཐ་མ་བདུད་རྩིར་འགྱུར་བར་ང་སྨྲའོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ནི་རྣམ་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པར་བྱ་སྟེ། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དྲན་པ་ལས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དྲན་པར་བྱའོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དགེ་བའི་རྩ་བ་ལས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དྲན་པར་བྱའོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་རིགས་ལས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་དྲན་པར་བྱའོ། །ང་ནི་འདྲ་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཉི་མའི་རིགས་ཏེ་གང་བུ་རམ་ཤིང་པའི་རིགས་སུ་སྐྱེས་པ་ནོར་མང་པོ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པའོ། །ཉི་མའི་རིགས་ཀྱིས་མུན་པ་མུན་ནག་དང་བྲལ་བ་སྣང་བ་བྱེད་པ་འོད་བྱེད་པའོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ང་ནི་ཤཱཀྱ་ཡིན་ཏེ། དེ་ནི་རིགས་ཆེ་བའི་ཚིག་བླ་དགས་སོ། །ཀུན་ དགའ་བོ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ནི་རུས་དང་། ཆོ་རིགས་དང་། རིགས་དང་། ནོར་དང་། གཟུགས་དང་། ཡུལ་དང་། མཚན་དང་དཔེ་བྱད་བཟང་པོ་དང་། སྟོབས་དང་། མི་འཇིགས་པ་དང་། སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་མ་འདྲེས་པས་མངོན་པར་འཕགས་སོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་ཡོན་ཏན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་མངོན་པར་འཕགས་ཤིང་རིགས་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་སོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་རོ་མྱོང་བ་ལས་ཀྱང་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་རྗེས་སུ་དྲན་པར་བྱའོ། །ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་དོན་ཡོད་པ་དང་། སྔོན་གྱི་སྦྱོར་བ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། སྨོན་ལམ་ཕུན་སུམ་ཚོགས་པ་དང་། ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དང་། ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན

如果有什么变化，因为它们没有这些法，所以它们不会现证无上正等觉。阿难陀，菩萨摩诃萨们就是这样行持苦行，具有大悲心，对一切众生都慈爱。然而，一些愚笨的人为了现证无上正等觉和无上的涅槃之种子，对我连一点欢喜心都不生起。阿难陀，做少许的就成就少许，做圆满的就成就圆满。阿难陀，我也开示了其他的行持。阿难陀，即使生起一个欢喜心的功德之根本，生起它也不会变得无意义，更何况是以上的功德呢？阿难陀，凡是对如来所作的功德之根本，哪怕是生起一个缘于佛的心，阿难陀，我说那些一切都与甘露相同，最终会变成甘露。阿难陀，应当以各种方式忆念如来，阿难陀，从忆念中也要忆念如来。阿难陀，从功德之根本中也要忆念如来。阿难陀，从种姓中也要忆念如来。我因为相似的缘故是太阳的种姓，即出生于甘蔗种姓，拥有众多财富，非常圆满。太阳的种姓能够驱散黑暗和黑暗，带来光明，是发光的。阿难陀，我是释迦，那是对高贵种姓的尊称。阿难陀，如来在血统、家族、种姓、财富、容貌、地域、名称和妙相、力量、无畏以及不混杂的佛法方面都显得超胜。阿难陀，如来以一切功德而超胜，种姓圆满。阿难陀，从品尝味道中也要忆念如来。阿难陀，从有意义的事、圆满的前世串习、圆满的愿望、戒律和禅定中也要忆念如来。

If there is any change, because they do not have these dharmas, they will not realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Ananda, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas practice austerities, possess great compassion, and are loving towards all sentient beings. However, some foolish people do not even generate a single joyful thought towards me in order to realize the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and the seed of unsurpassed nirvana. Ananda, doing a little accomplishes a little, and doing completely accomplishes completely. Ananda, I have also shown other practices. Ananda, even generating a single joyful thought, possessing the root of virtue, generating it will not become meaningless, let alone the above virtues? Ananda, whatever root of virtue is made to the Tathagata, even if one generates a single thought focused on the Buddha, Ananda, I say that all of those are the same as nectar, and will eventually become nectar. Ananda, the Tathagata should be remembered in all ways, Ananda, even from memory, the Tathagata should be remembered. Ananda, even from the root of virtue, the Tathagata should be remembered. Ananda, even from lineage, the Tathagata should be remembered. I am of the solar lineage because of similarity, that is, born into the Ikshvaku (sugarcane) lineage, possessing much wealth, and being very complete. The solar lineage dispels darkness and gloom, brings light, and is radiant. Ananda, I am Shakya, which is a term of respect for a noble lineage. Ananda, the Tathagata is superior in terms of lineage, family, caste, wealth, appearance, land, name and excellent marks, strength, fearlessness, and the unmixed Buddhadharma. Ananda, the Tathagata is superior with all qualities and has a complete lineage. Ananda, even from tasting flavors, the Tathagata should be remembered. Ananda, even from meaningful things, complete past practice, complete aspirations, discipline, and samadhi, the Tathagata should be remembered.
