སྐྱེད། །毗琉璃是无垢之岩，稠密之中须弥山顶端殊胜，如秋日之光辉灿烂，光彩照人的身形是谁？之后，那些大仙人们都欢喜地睁开眼睛，合掌向世尊所在之处走去。然后，世尊对众比丘说：比丘们，瞻部洲的仙人如火堆般燃烧，有发髻，年老，极度消瘦，不吃饭且闭关修行，穿着树皮和兽皮，涂抹灰尘，住在平地和岩石中，如饥饿般，吞咽空气，半月闭关修行，肢体干枯，裸体者穿着树皮，有胡须、指甲和长毛，如蜜蜂的颜色，拥有苦行的财富，念诵、火供、守护和吉祥之事已做，住在地上、无遮盖处和树下，双脚朝上伸展，蹲坐着，进入水中，火把燃烧，柴火猛烈燃烧，太阳炙烤身体，被猛烈的苦行所围绕，安住于各自状态，仅仅因种姓而欢喜，看着那些没有无上智慧的人。比丘们，这些大仙人是不知如何脱离轮回的人，这些人因欲望而醉，完全执着于再次投生，完全是不清净的见解之流。然后，那些比丘们从内心深处向世尊寻求庇护，并如此祈请道：世尊，我们是修持梵行的僧团，因此我们不执着于投生。然后，大仙人以广大的心，仔细观察那些大仙人们的心和不畏惧之心低劣，见解也低劣，生起恭敬心，与随从的仙人众眷属一起，换了许多发型，为了供养而拿着东西，青翠欲滴，两人黄色，头发粗糙且蓬乱，手里拿着三根杖，具有极其丑陋的形象，从虚空中行走，具有各种各样的言谈论证，他们前往世尊所在之处，到达后，世尊

Skye. Beryl is a flawless rock, towering above the peak of Mount Meru in its density. Like the radiant autumn sun, who is this being with a glorious, blazing form? Then, all those great sages rejoiced, opened their eyes, and with palms joined, went to where the Blessed One was. Then, the Blessed One spoke to the monks: Monks, look at those sages of Jambudvipa, blazing like a heap of fire, with matted hair, aged, extremely emaciated, not eating and practicing in seclusion, wearing bark and animal skins, smeared with ashes, dwelling in plains and among rocks, appearing as if starving, swallowing air, practicing seclusion for half a month, with withered limbs, naked ones wearing bark, with beards, nails, and long hair, like the color of bees, possessing the wealth of asceticism, having performed recitations, fire offerings, protections, and auspicious deeds, dwelling on the ground, without shelter, and under trees, stretching their legs upwards, squatting, entering the water, with blazing torches, fiercely burning firewood, their bodies intensely scorched by the sun, surrounded by fierce asceticism, abiding in their respective states, rejoicing merely in their lineage, and lacking supreme wisdom. Monks, these great sages are those who do not know how to escape from samsara. These are intoxicated by the fullness of desire, completely clinging to rebirth, and are entirely streams of impure views. Then, those monks, from the depths of their hearts, sought refuge in the Blessed One and prayed thus: Blessed One, we are a community practicing celibacy, therefore we do not cling to rebirth. Then, the great sage, with a vast mind, carefully observed that the minds and fearlessness of those great sages were inferior, and their views were also inferior, and generated reverence. Together with the retinue of the sage assembly, having changed many hairstyles, carrying offerings, verdant green, two yellow ones, with rough and disheveled hair, holding three staffs in their hands, possessing extremely unsightly forms, walking from the face of the sky, possessing various kinds of argumentative speech, they went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, the Blessed One
