For those who have no attachment to the eye, and where no eye arises, you have no place, no realm, no master, no power, no dominion, and cannot be seized by force. Similarly, sinful ones, for those who have no ear, nose, tongue, body, mind, and no form, sound, smell, taste, touch, dharma, and no concept of dharma, and no special attachment to dharma, and no characteristic of dharma, and no special focus on dharma, and no manifest attachment to dharma, and no pride of dharma, and no holding dharma as one's own, and no basis for dharma, and no manifest clinging to dharma, and no elaboration of dharma, and no inherent nature of dharma, and no complete protection of dharma, and no meditation on dharma, and no acceptance or rejection of dharma, and no abandonment of dharma, and no conceptualization of dharma, and no intention towards dharma, and no complete accomplishment of dharma, and no cessation of dharma, and no arising of dharma, and no grasping of dharma, and where no dharma arises, you have no place, no realm, no master, no power, no dominion, and cannot be seized by force. Then, as the youthful Manjushri taught the Dharma in this way, from that mandala of Mara, millions of Maras generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. From that retinue of Mara, eighty-four thousand Maras were purified, without the dust of the eye of Dharma and free from defilement in all dharmas. Then, the venerable Maha-Kashyapa said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, this youthful Manjushri is here. Blessed One, we wish to see those Bodhisattvas. Why is that? Blessed One, it is because such noble beings are difficult to see." Then, the Blessed One said to the youthful Manjushri: "Manjushri, this assembly is of Bodhisattvas gathered from the ten directions, they wish to see you, show them."

Then, Manjushri Kumara spoke to the Bodhisattvas Dharma, Dharma Victory, Dharma Wisdom, Sun, Demon's Weapon, Manjughosha, Pacifying Sin, Pacifying Protector, Victory Protector, Dharma King Manifestation, and those and other Bodhisattvas, saying: "Noble sons, in your respective Buddha-fields, show your own bodies as the bodies of those Bodhisattvas are." As soon as Manjushri Kumara spoke those words, those Bodhisattvas arose from that samadhi. Having arisen, they showed their respective bodies. Then, some Bodhisattvas' bodies were like Mount Sumeru. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were eighty thousand yojanas. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were seventy thousand yojanas, sixty thousand yojanas, forty thousand yojanas, thirty thousand yojanas, twenty thousand yojanas, and ten thousand yojanas. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were five thousand yojanas, four thousand yojanas, three thousand yojanas, two thousand yojanas, and one thousand yojanas. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were five hundred yojanas, four hundred yojanas, three hundred yojanas, two hundred yojanas, and one hundred yojanas. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were fifty yojanas, forty yojanas, thirty yojanas, twenty yojanas, and ten yojanas. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were five yojanas, four yojanas, three yojanas, two yojanas, and one yojana. Some Bodhisattvas' bodies were like the bodies of the beings in this world of suffering, one and a half cubits and four fingers long. Those bodies all appeared everywhere. At that time, in this three-thousand great-thousand world, there was no place that was not filled with those glorious Bodhisattvas, not even a space the size of a brick used for building a wall. The light of those Bodhisattvas also illuminated hundreds of billions of Buddha-fields in the ten directions. Then, Manjushri Kumara arose from his seat, bared one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with his palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One and said to the Blessed One: "If, after asking, the Blessed One would prophesy to me,

If you would allow me to ask, Blessed One, Thus-gone One, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, I would like to ask you some questions. After saying this, the Blessed One said to Manjushri, the youthful one, "Manjushri, ask the Thus-gone One whatever you wish, and I will satisfy your mind with your questions and the answers to them." After saying this, Manjushri, the youthful one, and all the assembled retinue listened to the Blessed One and asked the Blessed One, "Blessed One, we call beings Bodhisattvas, Bodhisattvas, Blessed One, why do we call them Bodhisattvas?" After saying this, the Blessed One said to Manjushri, the youthful one, "Manjushri, because of realizing all phenomena, they are called Bodhisattvas. Manjushri, what are all those phenomena that Bodhisattvas, Bodhisattvas, are called because of realizing? Manjushri, in this case, Bodhisattvas realize the eye, realize the ear, realize the nose, realize the tongue, realize the body, realize the mind. Manjushri, how do Bodhisattvas realize the eye? How do they realize the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind? Manjushri, in this case, Bodhisattvas realize that the eye is empty of its own nature, but they do not think that they have realized it. They realize that the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are empty of their own nature, but they do not think that they have realized it. They realize that forms, sounds, smells, tastes, tactile objects, and phenomena are empty of their own nature, but they do not think that they have realized it. Manjushri, furthermore, Bodhisattvas realize the five aggregates of grasping. How do they realize them? They realize them as emptiness, they realize them as signlessness, they realize them as wishlessness, they realize them as detachment, they realize them as peace.
