Listen carefully to the words spoken in chapters. Even if there are millions of treasures, those who are unwilling to give are called poor in this world by the learned. Even if there is not a single grain of food, but that person is very good at giving, such a person is called the richest person in the world by those who have true insight. For the holy one without sin, everything is beautiful. But a child who does evil is not beautiful even if adorned very much. It is easy to be criticized by the wise, but not praised by fools. Fools praise evil, while the wise condemn evil. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, at another time transformed into another person. Then, that person, carrying a lot of gold, said this to Ngespa (certainty): "Hey, Ngespa (certainty), take the gold, I am arguing with another person, you alone be my witness, I will have you be my witness." Ngespa (certainty) said: "Friend, don't say that. I don't want to lie. Friend, lying deceives oneself, deceives others, and deceives the holy ones. It lowers reputation, causes distrust, is unpleasant, is despised, and causes mental anguish. Friend, lying causes bad breath, degrades the body, and displeases the gods. Friend, lying steals the roots of virtue, obscures memory, and is an obstacle to the path to heaven. Friend, lying is not respected by the holy ones, words are not beautiful among those who speak truthfully, it is condemned by the wise, it is the root of all sins, it cuts off the root of fulfilling vows, and it is the root of all evil destinies." Then, at that time, the poor city Ngespa (certainty) spoke these verses: "From the mouth of a liar, a rotten smell will also be smelled. Like destroying a temple, one abandons previous good deeds. Because of ignorance, it will displease oneself and the gods, as well as the holy ones. What kind of person

What is a lie? It always becomes an object of suspicion. The act of lying is the root of all evils, the fundamental severance of ascetics, and is also called the cause of falling into evil realms. Even if you give me gold that fills the entire world, I will never lie in order to protect my Dharma. After that, the person transformed by Indra failed to make "the Steadfast One" utter a lie and left. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, said to the heavenly daughter Sunlight and the Asura daughter Joy, and others: "You two go and see whether this person who has entered meditation and asceticism is one who craves enjoyment or one who does not seek desire." After that, the Asura daughter Joy and others, and the heavenly daughter Sunlight, went to the place where "the Steadfast One" was from dawn, and spoke pleasant words to "the Steadfast One": "Steadfast One, please arise. We two are here to serve you. Steadfast One, please look at our two perfect bodies, complexion, shape, body ointment, decorations, clothes, and fluttering garments. Please look at us in the prime of our youth. Steadfast One, please look at our service to you in this way, which is our own perfect merit." "The Steadfast One" looked and said, "You two are serving those beings who have fallen into hell and the animal realm, and the world of Yama, not those who have entered the realm of gods and humans. I see your bodies as like illusions and dreams. I see your appearances as like bubbles, blisters, and mirages. Your bodies are smeared with sandalwood ointment, which I see as like smearing wet mud. I see your decorations and fluttering garments as like unreal illusions. I see your youth as impermanent and subject to change. Because I see it as non-merit, I have no attachment to you two. You two are serving those who are like the minds of monkeys and women, not those who guard their minds with mindfulness."
