་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་རང་གི་ཤ་བཅད་ནས་སྦྱིན་པ་ཡོངས་སུ་བཏང་ངོ་། །མཽང་གལ་ངེས་མངོན་པར་དྲན་ཏེ། ངས་སྔོན་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའི་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པའི་ཚེ་ཚེ་རབས་བརྒྱ་སྟོང་ཚད་མེད་པ་སྙེད་དུ་ཁྲག་འཐུང་བའི་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་ལུས་ལས་ཁྲག་ཕྱུང་སྟེ་སྦྱིན་པ་ཡོངས་སུ་བཏང་ནས་རབ་ཏུ་ཚིམ་པར་བྱས་སོ། །མཽང་གལ་མདོར་ན་འཇིག་རྟེན་པའི་ནོར་རྫས་སམ་ལོངས་སྤྱད་པར་བྱ་བ་ཅིང་ཡང་རུང་ཏེ། སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་ནམ་ཡང་ཕངས་ཤིང་སེར་སྣ་བྱས་མ་མྱོང་སྟེ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱང་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་འཚེ་བ་མེད་པ། གནོད་པ་མེད་པ། མཁས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ རབ་ཏུ་བསྔགས་པར་གྱུར་པ་དེ་ལྟར་ངས་ཡུན་རིང་པོར་བརྟགས་ཏེ་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་སྙིང་རྗེ་བའི་བསམ་པར་རབ་ཏུ་སྐྱེད་ནས་བཏང་ངོ་། །གཞན་ཡང་མོད་གལ་ངས་མངོན་པར་དྲན་ཏེ། །འདས་པའི་དུས་ཀྱི་ཚེ་ཚོང་དཔོན་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ཞིག་བྱུང་བར་གྱུར་ཏེ། དེ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོར་ཞུགས་ནས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ལེན་དུ་སོང་བ་ལས་བདེ་བར་སླར་ལོག་སྟེ་རང་གི་ཡུལ་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་ཞུགས་ཏེ་ཁྱིམ་གྱི་སྒོར་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་། དེའི་ཚེ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ན་གནས་པའི་སློངས་མོ་བ་མང་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་ཡོངས་སུ་བསྐོར་ནས་དེའི་མདུན་དུ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་བདེ་བར་བྱོན་ཏམ། སྦྱིན་བདག་ཆེན་པོ་བདག་ཅག་སློང་བ་མཆིས་ཏེ། གལ་ཏེ་གནད་བར་གྱུར་ན་བདག་ཅག་བསླད་པར་འཚལ་ལོ། །མཽང་གལ་དེའི་ཚེ་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་སློངས་མོ་པ་དེ་དག་ལ་འདི་སྐད་དུ་ཁྱེད་སླངས་ཤིག་དང་། བདག་ལ་ཅི་བདོག་པ་ཕངས་པ་མེད་པར་སྦྱིན་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་སློངས་མོ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ནས་རྙེད་པའི་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་རྣམས་བདག་ཅག་ལ་བྱིན་ཅིག་དང་། དེས་ན་བདག་ཅག་རབ་ཏུ་བདེ་བར་འགྱུར་རོ། །མཽང་གལ་དེའི་ཚེ་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་གཅིག་ཅིག་ཀྱང་གསེར་སྲང་བརྒྱད་སྟོང་དུ་མ་རིབ་བྱེ་བ་ཕྲག་བརྒྱད་བཅུ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་རྣམས་མ་ལུས་པར་སློངས་མོ་པ་རྣམས་ལ་བྱིན་ཏེ། མཽང་གལ་ལ་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་དེས་དེ་ལྟར་ནོར་མང་པོ་རྣམས་ཡོངས་སུ་བཏང་བར་གྱུར་ཀྱང་སེམས་ལ་བྱུང་བའམ། འགྱོད་པར་གྱུར་པ་ཅི་ཡང་མེད་དོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་མང་པོ་སློངས་མོ་པ་རྣམས་ལ་ཡོངས་སུ་བཏང་ནས་ཁྱིམ་དུ་ཡང་མ་ཞུགས་པར་སླར་ལོགས་སྟེ་རྒྱ་མཚོར་ཞུགས་ནས་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་ལེན་དུ་སོང་བ་ལ་སྔ་མ་བས་ཕྱེད་འགྱུར་ཀྱིས་བཟང་བའི་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་མང་པོ་ཐོབ་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ། ལོ་བརྒྱད་བཅུ་འདས་ནས་སླར་རང་གི་ཡུལ་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་འཇུག་པ་ལས་དེའི་ཚེ་ཉེས་པ་བྱས་པའི་མིང་གཅིག་གཤེད་མ་པས་གཟུང་སྟེ་བཅིངས་ནས་མི་སྙན་པའི་སྒྲ་བསྒྲགས་པའི་རྡ་ཡང་བརྡུངས། ལམ་གྱི་བཞི་ མོ་རྣམས་སུ་བསྒྲགས་པ་ཡང་བྱས་ནས་གསང་བའི་གནས་སུ་ཁྲིད་ནས་གསད་པར་བྱས་པ་ལས། དེའི་ཚེ་གསང་བ་ལ་ཐུག་པ་དེ་དག་གིས་རྒྱང་ནས་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་མཐོང་བ་དང་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ཚོང་དཔོན་བདག་ཅག་ལ་མི་འཇིགས་པ་བྱིན་ཅིག །བདག་ཅག་གསང་བའི་ཉེས་པ་ལས་སྐྱོབས་ལ་བདག་ཅག་ལ་སྲོག་བྱིན་ཅིག །ཁྱོད་ནི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཆེན་པོ་སྐྱེས་བུ་དམ་པ་ལགས་སོ། །ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་ཐོས་པ་དང་གསང་བ་ལ་ཐུག་པ་དེ་དག་ལ་ཀྱཻ་ཁྱེད་ལ་འཇིགས་པ་སྦྱིན་ཞིང་ཁྱེད་གསད་པའི་ཉེས་པ་ལས་བསྐྱབ་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས་གཤེད་མ་དེ་དག་གི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་ནས་རེ་རེ་ལ་ཡང་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པ་ཆེ་གསེར་སྲང་བྱེ་བ་རེ་རེ་བྱིན་ནས་ཁྱེད་ཅག་དེང་བདག་རྒྱལ་པོའི་དྲུང་དུ་སླར་མ་འོངས་ཀྱི་བར་དུ་སྐད་ཅིག་སྡོང་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་མྱུར་ཞིང་རིངས་པར་རྒྱལ་པོའི་དྲུང་དུ་སོང་ནས་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་བདག་ནི་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་བཟང་པོ་དག་གིས་མི་འདི་དག་གི་སྲོག་མཇལ་བའི་འཚལ་ལོ། །རྒྱལ་པོས་སྨྲས་པ། ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་མི་འདི་དག་གི་ཉེས་པ་ནི་གཏད་དུ་མི་རུང་བས་བཙོན་དུ་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །གལ་ཏེ་སྙིང་ཐག་པ་ནས་ཉོ་བར་འདོད་ན་ཁྱོད་ལ་ནོར་ནི་བདོག་པ་ཟད་པར་ང་ལ་བྱིན་ལ་བདག་ཉིད་ཀྱང་ཤི་བར་ཁས་ལེན་ན་གདོད་གཏད་དོ། །མཽང་གལ་དེའི་ཚེ་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་དེ་སྐད་སྨྲས་པ་ཐོས་པར་དང་རབ་ཏུ་དགའ་བར་གྱུར་ནས་བདག་ནི་རྙེད་པ་ཆེན་པོ་ཐོབ་པས་སྨོན་པ་རྣམས་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པར་གྱུར་ཏེ་མི་འདི་དག་གི་སྐྱབས་བྱས་པར་གྱུར་པ་ནི་བདག་གི་ཡིད་ཚིམ་པར་གྱུར་ཏོ་ཞེས་དེ་ནས་ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པས་མི་དེ་དག་བསྐྱབས་ཏེ་གསད་པའི་ཉེས་པ་ལས་ཐར་བར་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཁྱིམ་ན་ནོར་ཅིག་བདོག་པ་དང་། རྒྱལ་མཚོ་ཆེན་པོ་ནས་ཐོབ་པའི་ནོར་བུ་རིན་པ་ཆེ་གསེར་དང་དངུལ་ལ་སོགས་པ་བྱེ་བ་སྟོང་ཕྲག་ཆད་མེད་པ་རྣམས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་ཕུལ་ནས་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་མི་དེ་དག་གཏད་དུ་གསོལ། བདག་ལ་ནོར་ཅི་མཆིས་པ་ནི་བས་པར་འདིར་མཆིས་ལགས་སོ། །རྒྱལ་པོས་ནོར་རྣམས་བླངས་ནས་གཤེད་མ་དག་ལ་བསྒོ་བ། ལེགས་པར་རྙེད་པ་འདི

具足者等，割截自己的肉布施，完全施舍。目犍连现前忆念，我往昔行菩萨行时，于无数百千俱胝的生世中，对于饮血的众生，从身上放出血液，完全施舍，令其极度满足。目犍连，总而言之，无论是世间的财物或受用，对于众生，我从未吝惜或悭吝过，一切都对众生无害，无损，被智者们极度赞叹，如是，我长久观察后，对众生生起慈悲之心，完全施舍。 另外，目犍连，我现前忆念，过去世有一位名叫善得的商人，他进入大海，为了获取珍宝而去，平安归来，回到自己的国家，进入城市，到达家门口时，当时居住在城市中的众多乞丐们完全围绕着他，在他面前如是说道：善得，您平安归来了吗？大施主，我们前来乞讨，如果方便的话，请您施舍给我们。目犍连，当时善得对那些乞丐们说道：你们乞讨吧，我将毫不吝惜地布施我所拥有的。然后，乞丐们对善得说：请将您从大海中获得的珍宝赐予我们吧，那样我们就能极度快乐了。目犍连，当时善得将一颗珍宝，以及价值八千金币，乃至八十俱胝的珍宝全部赐予了乞丐们。目犍连，善得虽然如是完全施舍了众多的财物，但心中没有任何后悔或遗憾。当时，善得将众多的珍宝完全施舍给乞丐们后，甚至没有进入家门，而是再次返回大海，为了获取珍宝而去，比之前多了一半。

Those endowed with qualities, cutting off their own flesh, completely gave it away as alms. Maudgalyayana, recalling vividly, in the past, when I practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva, in countless hundreds of thousands of myriads of lifetimes, to blood-drinking beings, I released blood from my body, completely giving it away, satisfying them thoroughly. Maudgalyayana, in short, whether worldly wealth or possessions, I have never been stingy or miserly towards sentient beings, all of which are harmless and without injury to sentient beings, highly praised by the wise. Thus, having contemplated for a long time, I generated a compassionate mind towards sentient beings and gave it away completely. Furthermore, Maudgalyayana, I vividly recall that in a past life there was a merchant named Well-Gained. He entered the great ocean to obtain jewels, and returned safely, going back to his own country, entering the city, and arriving at the door of his house. At that time, many beggars living in the city completely surrounded him and spoke to him in front of him, saying: Well-Gained, have you returned safely? Great benefactor, we have come to beg; if it is convenient, please give us alms. Maudgalyayana, at that time, Well-Gained said to those beggars: Beg, and I will give away without hesitation whatever I possess. Then, the beggars said to Well-Gained: Please give us the precious jewels that you have obtained from the great ocean, so that we may be extremely happy. Maudgalyayana, at that time, Well-Gained gave all the jewels, including one precious jewel and those worth eight thousand gold coins, even eighty kotis, to the beggars. Maudgalyayana, although Well-Gained completely gave away so much wealth in this way, there was no regret or remorse in his mind. At that time, Well-Gained, having completely given away many jewels to the beggars, did not even enter his house, but returned again to the ocean to obtain jewels, half as much again as before.

He obtained many fine and precious jewels. After eighty years, he returned to his own country and entered the city. At that time, a criminal was seized and bound by the executioner, who beat a drum that made unpleasant sounds. He was also proclaimed at the crossroads of the roads, and then taken to a secret place to be executed. At that time, those who were involved in the secret saw the one who was good at finding from afar and said: Merchant, please grant us fearlessness! Please save us from the secret crime, and give us life! You are a great benefactor, a holy person! When the one who was good at finding heard them say that, he said to those who were involved in the secret: Hey, I will grant you fearlessness and save you from the crime of being killed. Having said that, he went to those executioners and gave each of them a hundred million worth of precious jewels and gold, saying: Stop for a moment until I come before the king again. Then, the one who was good at finding quickly went to the king and said: Great king, I wish to redeem the lives of these people with fine and precious jewels. The king said: O one who is good at finding, the crimes of these people are unforgivable and cannot be imprisoned. If you sincerely want to buy them, give me all your wealth and promise to die yourself, then I will hand them over. At that time, the one who was good at finding heard that and was very happy, saying: I have obtained a great discovery, and my wishes have been fulfilled. Being able to be the savior of these people, my heart is satisfied. Then, in order to save those people and free them from the crime of being killed, the one who was good at finding offered the king all the wealth in his house, as well as countless billions of precious jewels, gold, and silver obtained from the great ocean, saying: Great king, please hand those people over to me. All my wealth is here. The king took all the wealth and commanded the executioners: This one who is good at finding

Because the Tathagata (དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་) cannot be harmed by all the worlds, including gods, humans, and asuras, let alone by the foolish Devadatta. Devadatta is still gathering evil friends, wanting to kill me, and he himself is trying to kill me by any means. Therefore, he has lost wealth, fame, and power, and while still alive, with this body, he has fallen into the Avici hell, the hell of sentient beings. Maudgalyayana, when I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, I never saw any sentient being like Devadatta, not even hearing his name. Devadatta is ungrateful. When I was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva in the past, I treated sentient beings with the cause and condition of being like parents. Therefore, it should be understood that the Tathagata is endowed with great compassion for sentient beings.
