Through straightforward means, with direct wisdom and subsequent wisdom, they fully comprehend. The Tathagata does not fixate even on the sentient beings' continuum that passes away. Because the Tathagata possesses such wisdom, he teaches the Dharma to sentient beings' thoughts without hesitation. Shariputra, this is the sixteenth of the Tathagata's unmixed Buddha-dharmas. Furthermore, Shariputra, in the future, the Tathagata's unobstructed and unimpeded wisdom vision will arise. In the future, whatever Tathagatas arise, cease, will arise, or will not arise, those too are fully known. How many eons will be consumed by fire, how many will be gathered by water, how many will be gathered by wind, how many Buddha-fields will remain, how much of the earth element will be in those Buddha-fields, how many minute particles, how much grass, trees, medicinal herbs, and forests will grow, how many forms of stars will appear, how many Buddhas, Bhagavat, will appear in each of the countless Buddha-fields, how many Pratyekabuddhas will appear, how many Shravakas will appear, how many Bodhisattvas will appear, how much enjoyment of food, how much inhalation and exhalation, walking, sitting, and conduct will occur, and how many sentient beings from each Tathagata will be liberated by the Shravaka-yana and Pratyekabuddha-yana, and how many sentient beings will be liberated by the Mahayana, all of these are fully known by the Tathagata. In each of the countless Buddha-fields, how many places of birth for sentient beings will arise, and how many minds and mental factors will arise and will arise, all of these are fully known by the Tathagata. Although the Tathagata fully knows in this way, the Tathagata does not regard the future continuum of sentient beings' minds as an eon. The Tathagata, by observing the future, for sentient beings

The Dharma is taught. Shariputra, these are the seventeen unshared qualities of the Tathagata Buddha. Furthermore, Shariputra, at this present time, the unobstructed and unimpeded wisdom of the Tathagata manifests. How does it manifest? Shariputra, the Tathagata fully knows all the Buddha-fields of the ten directions in the present with three kinds of counting. He fully knows all the dharmas of the present. He fully knows all the Bodhisattvas of the present, and likewise, he fully knows the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas of the present. He fully knows all the forms of the stars of the present. He fully knows all the grass, trees, shrubs, medicines, and forests of the present. He fully knows all the realms of earth in the ten directions, all the scattered dust of minute particles, by means of counting. He fully knows all the drops of water taken from the tip of a hair in the water realm of the ten directions by means of counting. He fully knows all the radiating light of the fire realm of the ten directions, its arising and ceasing, by means of counting. He fully knows all the wind realm of the ten directions by means of counting, which establishes the form realm. He fully knows all the realms of space in the ten directions, by calculating the drops of water with a fraction of a hair's tip. He fully knows the three realms of sentient beings in the present. He fully knows the realm of sentient beings in the hells in the present. He fully knows the cause of their birth. He fully knows the cause of their rising. He fully knows the realm of sentient beings who have gone to the place of birth as animals in the present. He fully knows the cause of their birth. He fully knows the cause of their rising. He fully knows the realm of sentient beings in the world of Yama in the present. He fully knows the cause of their birth. He fully knows the cause of their rising. He fully knows the realm of human sentient beings in the present. He fully knows the cause of their birth. He fully knows the realm of divine sentient beings in the present. He fully knows the cause of their birth. He fully knows all sentient beings in the present.

He also fully understands the continuum of their minds. He also fully understands their afflictions. He also fully understands the absence of afflictions. He also fully understands the power of taming all present minds. He also fully understands the power of not taming. Thus, the Tathagata fully understands. The Tathagata has no consciousness that follows duality, because he abides in non-duality. He teaches the Dharma to sentient beings. Shariputra, these are the eighteen unshared qualities of a Tathagata Buddha. Shariputra, because he possesses these eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, the Tathagata, in all the countless realms of the ten directions, subdues the retinue with the nature of splendor, fame, glory, wonder, and rarity within the assembly, brightly, radiantly, and luminously. Thus, Shariputra, the eighteen unshared qualities of a Tathagata are endless and limitless. For example, Shariputra, just as the sky is endless and limitless, so too are the unshared qualities of a Tathagata endless and limitless. Whoever desires the limit of the unshared qualities of a Tathagata, that is desiring the limit of the sky. Bodhisattvas, great beings, having heard these unshared qualities of a Tathagata, generate great faith, believe, fully understand, have no hesitation, do not doubt, greatly rejoice, and find satisfaction, and because it is inconceivable like the sky, they generate a sense of wonder and rarity. Then, the Bhagavan, the Sugata, having spoken this meaning, the Teacher also spoke thus: The guide has no confusion, body and speech and mind do not waver. Thus, he teaches the Dharma to living beings, that is the unshared Dharma of the Victors. He does not become arrogant, he does not submit, he has completely transcended anger and attachment. Abiding in the absence of afflictions and liberated from afflictions, that is the unshared Dharma of the Victors. The guide has no forgetfulness of mindfulness, he fully knows the Dharma of various realms of activity, each individually.
