Because of following, there is no confusion. Because of looking at weak beings, therefore following beings. Because of becoming a protector, therefore looking at weak beings. For refuge and assistance, therefore becoming a protector. Because of not disturbing, therefore refuge and assistance. Because of very truly examining, therefore not disturbing. Because of no dispute, therefore very truly examining. Because of virtuous intention, therefore no dispute. Because of having nothing, therefore virtuous intention. Because of being very pure, therefore having nothing. Because of having renounced, therefore being very pure. Because the inner is without stain, therefore having renounced. Because the outer is very pure, therefore the inner is without stain. Thus, Shariputra, the unwavering Essence, from the name "the outer is very pure, therefore the inner is without stain" in between, the mind is like that. What is the Bodhicitta like? That mind is not deceived by all the afflictions. That mind is unrelated because it does not desire other vehicles. That mind is steadfast because it is not robbed by all the opponents. That mind is not broken by all the demons. That mind is constant because it accumulates the collection of roots of virtue. That mind is unwavering because it is devoted to the Buddha's teachings. That mind is well established on the Bodhisattva ground. That mind is unsurpassed because there is no antidote. That mind is like a vajra because it definitely penetrates all the teachings of all the Buddhas. That mind is equal because there is no inequality in the thoughts of all beings. That mind is pure because its nature is without all afflictions. That mind is immaculate because it illuminates with wisdom. That mind is vast because it opens up opportunities for all beings. That mind is vast because it is like the sky. That mind is unobstructed because it is given to the omniscient wisdom. That mind is following all because it has not cut off great compassion. That mind should be manifested because it is praised by the wise. That mind has become the seed of all the Buddha's teachings. That mind

Is the place of all things of happiness. This mind is born from the vows of discipline. This mind is difficult to approach with patience. This mind is difficult to subdue with diligence. This mind is peaceful with pure concentration. This mind is unharmed by the collection of wisdom. Furthermore, this mind is the root of the Tathagata's aggregate of morality, aggregate of concentration, aggregate of wisdom, and aggregate of liberation. This mind is the root of the Tathagata's aggregate of wisdom and vision of liberation. This mind is the root of the Tathagata's ten powers, four fearlessnesses, and eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha. Moreover, Shariputra, this mind is the nature of Bodhi, therefore it should be known as the mind of Bodhi. Shariputra, the thought of a Bodhisattva, and one who possesses such a mind of Bodhi, is called a Bodhisattva. Called a vast sentient being, called a supreme sentient being. Called a sentient being that surpasses all three realms. The action of the body is without fault. The action of speech is without fault. The action of mind is without fault. The action of the body is completely pure. The action of speech is completely pure. The action of mind is completely pure. The action of the body is unmoving. The action of speech is unmoving. The action of mind is unmoving. Having generated the mind of omniscience, therefore the gods of Mara and Mara's retinue cannot shake it. Skilled at rising from ground to ground. Unstained by all worldly dharmas. Having become the guide of all sentient beings. Having become a skillful guide, having become a complete guide, having become a lamp, having become a refuge, having become a bridge, having become a boat, having become a savior and one who goes to the other shore, is a place and protector, is refuge and friend. Having generated the mind of omniscience, therefore the gods of Mara and Mara's retinue cannot shake it. Thus, Shariputra, a Bodhisattva, from a deep thought, having generated the mind of unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment, is faith.
