Sometimes, from a single ray of light, seven colors arise, each with its own distinction of superior, intermediate, and inferior, born from virtuous actions. Sometimes, from a single ray of light, eight colors arise, each with its own distinction of superior, intermediate, and inferior, born from virtuous Dharma. And from that which appears, Hundreds of various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of equanimity. Sometimes from a single object, Thousands of various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the manifestation of qualities. Sometimes from a single object, Tens of thousands of various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the accumulation of merit. Sometimes from a single object, Hundreds of millions of various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of faith. Sometimes from a single object, Two hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of rejoicing. Sometimes from a single object, Three hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from diligent practice. Sometimes from a single object, Four hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of reverence for the Buddha. Sometimes from a single object, Five hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of reverence for the Dharma. Sometimes from a single object, Six hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of reverence for the Sangha. Sometimes from a single object, Seven hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of reverence for discipline. Sometimes from a single object, Eight hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of reverence for Samadhi. Sometimes from a single object, Nine hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of universal love. Sometimes from a single object, Ten hundred million various colors appear, Each of the superior, middling, and inferior, Are all born from the mind of mindfulness. Furthermore, from a single pore, Many rays of light appear, Those names of various rays of light, I will now explain to you. I have one ray of light, Its name is Clear Cloud Appearance, That ray of light is the root of virtue, Born from immeasurable accumulation. Thus, in times past, As many sentient beings as there were, From planting various diseases, After greatly generating a mind of compassion, Giving many medicines, Causing them to recover.
