This is the complete maturation of perverse wisdom. This is the perfect taming of the body. This is the complete maturation of the virtuous conduct of the body. This is the misconduct of the body. This is the complete maturation of the misconduct of the body. This is the perfect taming of speech. This is the complete maturation of the virtuous conduct of speech. This is the misconduct of speech. This is the complete maturation of the misconduct of speech. This is the perfect taming of mind. This is the complete maturation of the virtuous conduct of mind. This is the misconduct of mind. This is the complete maturation of the misconduct of mind. This is virtue. This is non-virtue. This is what should be done. This is what should not be done. This is what, if done, will bring long-term benefit, helpfulness, happiness, accomplishment, and ease, so the virtuous friends teach them correctly with words of Dharma, lead them to understand correctly, praise them correctly, and make them happy correctly. Then, knowing that they are fit vessels, they teach profound topics such as emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, non-conceptualization, unbornness, unoriginatedness, selflessness, the absence of sentient beings, the absence of life, and the absence of individuals. The profound teaching of dependent origination is as follows: "This arising, that arises; this ceasing, that ceases. This existing, that comes to be; this not existing, that does not come to be." That is to say, conditioned by ignorance are the formations; conditioned by the formations is consciousness; conditioned by consciousness are name and form; conditioned by name and form are the six sense sources; conditioned by the six sense sources is contact; conditioned by contact is feeling; conditioned by feeling is craving; conditioned by craving is grasping; conditioned by grasping is becoming; conditioned by becoming is birth; conditioned by birth are aging, death, sorrow, lamentation, pain, distress, and despair. In this way, this entire great mass of suffering arises.

This arising, that arises. This not existing, that does not arise. This ceasing, that ceases. Thus, with the cessation of ignorance, actions cease. With the cessation of actions, consciousness ceases. With the cessation of consciousness, name and form cease. With the cessation of name and form, the six sense sources cease. With the cessation of the six sense sources, contact ceases. With the cessation of contact, feeling ceases. With the cessation of feeling, craving ceases. With the cessation of craving, grasping ceases. With the cessation of grasping, becoming ceases. With the cessation of becoming, birth ceases. With the cessation of birth, aging and death, sorrow and, lamentation and, suffering and, displeasure and, disturbances all cease. Thus, only this great mass of suffering ceases. In that, in the ultimate sense, there is no dharma that arises or ceases. Why is that? All dharmas are dependently originated, without a lord, without a maker, without a receiver, arising from causes and conditions. In this, there is no dharma that enters or returns or follows. Otherwise, if it is not true, and is completely obscured, then one will be bound to the three realms, only following afflictions, following karma, and

Therefore, by honoring and serving, one will not completely degenerate. Wherever he is born, he will not be separated from seeing the Pratyekabuddha, hearing the Dharma, and honoring the Sangha. He will be born in the presence of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Having been born there, he will exert effort. He will be manifestly diligent in completely seeking virtuous Dharma. Because he exerts effort, he will not strive for the sake of household life. He will not strive for the sake of having a wife, sons, daughters, male servants, female servants, workers, and maintaining a livelihood through trade. Since he does not delight in playing in his youth, when he reaches a beautiful age, he will have faith in the teachings of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and will quickly renounce his home for homelessness. Having renounced out of faith, he will obtain virtuous spiritual friends, virtuous companions who bring about virtue, and virtuous thoughts. Possessing these virtuous thoughts, he will listen to virtuous Dharmas. He is not one who takes words as important, making practice the essence. He also exerts effort for the sake of completely seeking vast learning. He also obtains the Dharmas he has heard with an unadulterated mind, and without expecting respect and praise, he extensively and correctly shows them to others. He does not show others the Dharma in order to follow his own words. He shows the Dharma to others as he has heard it and as he practices it. For those who listen to the Dharma, he obtains great love. He generates great compassion for all sentient beings. Because he becomes learned, he does not regard his body and life. He is content with little, knows satisfaction, is utterly secluded, easy to please and easy to support, and manifestly delights in solitary places and remote places. He fully understands the meaning of the Dharmas he has heard. He relies on the meaning, not on the words. He becomes a teacher of the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. He does not strive for his own sake alone, but for the sake of all sentient beings, he strives for the unsurpassed Great Vehicle.
