Fire with flames and radiating light, an object that burns everything completely. Similarly, offering merits to the Buddha burns all formations. Then, Bodhisattva Manjushri said to Bodhisattva Virya Shri: 'Son of the Victorious One, since the Tathagata's teachings are unified and all views are consistent, why can't all afflictions be abandoned? For all of them, form is just form itself, feeling is just feeling itself, perception is just perception itself, formations are just formations themselves, and consciousness is just consciousness itself. The desire realm is just the desire realm itself, the form realm is just the form realm itself, the formless realm is just the formless realm itself, ignorance is just ignorance itself, and craving is just craving itself. Since the Tathagata's teachings neither benefit nor harm, then why is that?' Then, Bodhisattva Virya Shri spoke to Bodhisattva Manjushri in verses: 'What you have asked is why some quickly liberate and some liberate with difficulty? Sons of the Buddha, listen to me. Such countless situations are not the fault of the Buddha's teachings, but are due to differences in faith, diligence, and effort. Just as damp roots and trees, when put into fire, become very weak and soon die. Similarly, it is with lazy teachings. Just as when drilling wood for fire, if one quickly stops before the fire arises, it will quickly go out. Similarly, it is with lazy teachings. Just as the jewel of the sun, repeatedly placed and removed, will not produce fire. Similarly, it is with lazy teachings. Just as when the sun rises, children close their eyes and say why they cannot see. Similarly, it is with lazy teachings. Just as a person born without hands and feet wants to dig the earth with a hollow bamboo pole. Similarly, it is with lazy teachings. Just as children in the ocean repeatedly scoop water, and some want it to dry up. Similarly, it is with lazy teachings. Just as a vase filled with water, the fire of the end of the kalpa'

When it happens, it is like some people want to kill. Similarly, for those who show laziness, it is like some people fill the ten directions with countless ordinary colors like the sky. Similarly, for those who show laziness. Then, Bodhisattva Manjushri said to Bodhisattva Dharma Protector: "Alas, son of the king, even if you hear this Dharma principle that dries up all afflictions, some beings will still be dominated by desire, some by hatred, some by ignorance, some by pride, dominated by concealment, dominated by resentment, dominated by jealousy, dominated by stinginess, dominated by deceit, dominated by flattery, and those dharmas cannot be grasped without mind. Because all things that are established as afflictions exist in the mind stream in various ways, what should be done?" Then, Bodhisattva Dharma Protector said to Bodhisattva Manjushri in verses: "Whoever asks those meanings, sons of the Buddha, please listen to me. This true Buddha's teaching cannot be accomplished by merely hearing it. Some people are weak and are violently washed away by floods, just like dying of thirst, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like giving food and drink to many beings, but dying of hunger oneself, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like some doctors, although they have all the medicines, die from abdominal diseases, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like counting many treasures in a treasure house, but not getting even half of them, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like being born in the palace of a king who possesses all happiness, but not having food and clothing, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like a deaf person is proficient in the cymbal song of musical instruments, but another person is happy because of it, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like a blind painter, even if he is asked in the middle of the market, he cannot see anything himself, so is not practicing the Dharma. Just like a boatman of the great ocean, although he can save many people, he will die in it himself, so is not practicing the Dha
