What. Like the perfect city of the gods. It is where the virtuous reside. In the city with immortality. A Brahmin named Wise Intelligence. Accumulated many things to enjoy. With much wealth and grain. Holding the inner secret mantra (藏文:ནང་གི་གསང་སྔགས།,梵文天城体:अध्यात्म गुह्य मन्त्र,梵文罗马拟音:adhyātma guhya mantra,汉语字面意思:inner secret mantra), and surpassing the three Vedas. Surpassing characteristics, Itihasa, and the sacred Dharma. Then, on that very day, the wise and intelligent one sat alone in the lotus position on top of the best mansion, contemplating in solitude: It is painful for the wise to take birth in other lives. Likewise, the body perishes in the place of birth. I am subject to birth, aging, sickness, and death. Having become like that, I should seek the great bliss of Nirvana, which is without birth, without aging, without sickness, without suffering, and is like happiness, coolness, and nectar. Surely, it is like the only path to liberation from existence and going to Nirvana. Therefore, it is said: When dwelling alone in solitude, at that time I thought like this: Birth in existence is suffering, and when the body is completely destroyed, having the nature of birth and the nature of aging, the nature of sickness, at that time I, completely seek the bliss of no birth and immortality, Nirvana. When this foul-smelling body, filled with various impurities, meaningless, without support, should be abandoned and departed. I wonder if that path exists. Without effort, the path cannot be obtained. That path should be sought. I think I can be liberated from all existences. Then, thinking even more deeply: Just as worldly people have happiness that is incompatible with suffering. Like that, if there is an incompatible existence, I think Nirvana can be attained. Likewise, if there is suffering, there is coolness that pacifies it. Similarly, I think there will be Nirvana that pacifies the fire of desire and so on. Just as there is virtue that is incompatible with sin, without fault. Precisely because of that, if there is birth of sinners and so on, then there will be no birth that exhausts all births.

It is also thought that there will be Nirvana, and that is exactly what is thought. Therefore, it is said: If there is suffering, then there is also something called happiness. Likewise, if there is craving, then there is also a state of non-existence. If there is heat, then there is also cold. Likewise, if there are three fires, then there is also Nirvana. If there is sin, then there is also virtue. Likewise, if there is birth, then it is also thought that there is no birth. Furthermore, it is thought that if a person who has fallen into a pile of excrement sees a lotus with five colors and a large lake from afar, then which way should he go to enter that lake? If he does not go that way, it is not the fault of the large lake. Likewise, washing away the dirt of afflictions, there is a great lake of deathless Nirvana, and if one does not enter there, it is not the fault of the great lake of deathless Nirvana. Again, if a person completely surrounded by robbers has a way to escape, and if he does not escape quickly, it is not the fault of the road, but the fault of the person. Likewise, for a person who is completely surrounded and seized by afflictions, if there is a path of peaceful Nirvana, but he does not seek the path, it is not the fault of the path, but the fault of the individual. Again, if a person afflicted by disease has a doctor to cure the disease, if he does not go to the doctor to cure the disease, it is not the fault of the doctor, but the fault of the patient. Likewise, for a person afflicted by the disease of afflictions, if there is a supreme wise person who pacifies afflictions, if he does not seek a teacher, it is the fault of the person, and not the fault of the teacher who destroys afflictions. Therefore, it is said: Just as a person with unclean clothes, seeing a full lake, does not enter that lake, it is not the fault of the lake. Likewise, the lake of nectar that washes away the dirt of afflictions exists, and if one does not enter that lake, it is not the fault of the lake of nectar. Just as one is surrounded by robbers and there is a road to escape, but the person does not escape, it is the road of
