Thus it was declared. The Blessed One said, "Well said!" The venerable Subhuti, having heard the words of the Blessed One, the Blessed One spoke thus: Subhuti, herein, if there is a son or daughter of good family who contemplates the form of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha, Subhuti, as long as the form exists, then at that time there is attachment. Why is that? Subhuti, attachment arises from form. Thus, then, all the uncontaminated dharmas of those past, future, and present Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, are rejoiced in. Having thus rejoiced, then the roots of virtue of rejoicing are dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Subhuti, the Dharma-nature of dharmas is neither past, nor future, nor present. Why is that? That which is neither past, nor future, nor present is definitely liberated from the three times. That which is liberated from the three times cannot be dedicated, cannot be made into a form, cannot be contemplated. It is also not known by seeing, hearing, feeling, or discriminating. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, the self-nature of dharmas is profound. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of emptiness. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, the Prajnaparamita is profound in self-nature. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because of the purity of self-nature, Subhuti, because of the emptiness of self-nature, the Prajnaparamita is profound in self-nature. Subhuti asked: Blessed One, because of the emptiness of the self-nature of Prajnaparamita, I prostrate to the Blessed One Prajnaparamita. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, all dharmas are also emptiness of self-nature, Subhuti, that which is the emptiness of self-nature of all dharmas is the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? Subhuti, thus, all dharmas are manifestly awakened to enlightenment without being created by the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha.

It is said. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, in that case, has the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, not fully realized all dharmas? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, thus, by nature, those dharmas do not exist at all. Whatever is nature is non-nature, whatever is nature is nature, thus, because the essence of all dharmas does not exist, the essence is unique. Subhuti, therefore, the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened One, has fully realized all dharmas. Why is that? Subhuti, the nature of dharma is non-dual, Subhuti, the nature of all dharmas is solely one. Subhuti, whatever is the nature of all dharmas is non-nature, and whatever is non-nature is nature. Subhuti, thus, all those limits of attachment are completely abandoned. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, is the Prajnaparamita profound? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, because the sky is profound, the Prajnaparamita is profound. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, is the Prajnaparamita difficult to realize? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, thus, no one can fully realize it. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, is the Prajnaparamita inconceivable? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, thus, the Prajnaparamita is not to be known by the mind, not to be realized by the mind. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, is the Prajnaparamita unmade? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, because the maker is invisible, the Prajnaparamita is unmade. Subhuti asked: World Honored One, if so, how should a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Prajnaparamita? The World Honored One said: Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva

If one practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if one does not practice form, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, if not in feeling, not in perception, not in formations, if one does not apply to consciousness, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. If one does not apply the notion that form is impermanent, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, with feeling, perception, and formations, if one does not apply the notion that consciousness is impermanent, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. If one does not apply the notion that form is empty, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, not in feeling, not in perception, not in formations, if one does not apply the thought that consciousness is empty, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. If one does not apply the thought that form is incomplete or complete, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Whatever is the completeness or incompleteness of form, that is not form; if one does not apply even that, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, not in feeling, not in perception, not in formations, if one does not apply the thought that consciousness is incomplete or complete, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Whatever is the completeness or incompleteness of consciousness, that is not consciousness; if one does not apply even that, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus having spoken, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, since it is so, it is amazing that Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas speak of attachment and non-attachment as much as possible!" The Blessed One said: "Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not apply the thought of being attached or unattached to form, then he practices the Perfection of Wisdom. Similarly, with feeling, perception, and formations, if one does not apply the thought of being attached or unattached to consciousness, then one practices the Perfection of Wisdom.
