Those Bhagavats should be attended to and revered. Those roots of virtue should also be generated for the benefit of all sentient beings. Why is that? Thus, sons or daughters of good family, having first rejoiced in the roots of virtue of those immeasurable and countless ones who have truly entered the vehicle, and likewise, in the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattvas who abide on the first ground, and the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who abide between the ten grounds, and likewise, in the roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who are bound by one lifetime. Those who have manifestly accomplished those roots of virtue will be close to the unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment. Having manifestly and completely awakened to the unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment, they will also cause immeasurable, countless, and boundless sentient beings to be completely extinguished in the realm of nirvana without remainder. O Kausika, therefore, sons or daughters of good family, having rejoiced in those roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who have generated the first thought, should dedicate them to the unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment, and should dedicate them in such a way that they will never turn into mind, nor act outside of mind. Likewise, having rejoiced in those roots of virtue of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who abide between the ten grounds, and likewise, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas who are bound by one lifetime, one should dedicate them to the unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment, and one should dedicate them in such a way that they will never turn into mind, nor act outside of mind. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Venerable Blessed One, how does the mind, which is like an illusion, manifestly and completely awaken to the unexcelled, perfect and complete enlightenment? After he had said this, the Blessed One said to the venerable

The Blessed One said to Subhuti: Subhuti, what do you think? Do you think you can truly see the mind that is like an illusion? He replied: Venerable Blessed One, I have not truly seen illusion and the mind that is like an illusion. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, what do you think? For that which has no illusion and no mind like an illusion, what mind can realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, do you think you can truly see that mind? He replied: Venerable Blessed One, no. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, do you think you can truly see a dharma other than illusion or a mind like illusion, which can realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment? He replied: Venerable Blessed One, I have not truly seen a dharma other than illusion or a mind like illusion, which can realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment. Venerable Blessed One, if I have not truly seen other dharmas, then what existing or non-existing dharma should I generate? Because the extremely secluded dharma does not belong to existence or non-existence, and I do not accept this. That which does not accept existence or non-existence cannot realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, and that which does not exist also cannot realize the unexcelled perfect enlightenment. Why is that? Venerable Blessed One, because all dharmas that can lead to affliction or purification do not exist. Venerable Blessed One, that is why the Perfection of Wisdom itself is extremely secluded, and similarly, the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, and the Perfection of Generosity are also extremely secluded. Similarly, up to Bodhi is also extremely secluded. Any extremely
