Sindhi, Rabjor, which Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas seek unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment from dharmas that are empty of their own nature, and who wish to fully awaken to unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment, those are the ones who practice austerities. Rabjor, however, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas, having understood all dharmas to be like illusions and dreams, enter into unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment for the sake of the benefit, welfare, and happiness of all the worlds, saying, "We shall become the place, protector, refuge, support, island, holder of the lamp, illuminator, guide, leader, and support for all the worlds," thus entering into unsurpassed complete and perfect enlightenment. Rabjor, how do Bodhisattvas enter for the sake of all the worlds? Rabjor, here, whatever Bodhisattvas give as charity, they give entirely for the sake of completely liberating all sentient beings from suffering. Similarly, whatever they keep as moral discipline, whatever patience they cultivate, whatever diligence they exert, whatever meditative concentration they enter into, and whatever wisdom they cultivate, all of those they do for the sake of completely liberating all sentient beings from suffering. Rabjor, thus Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas enter for the sake of all the worlds. Rabjor, how do Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas enter for the benefit of all the worlds? Rabjor, here, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas themselves also practice the six perfections, and they also cause all sentient beings to truly uphold and establish themselves in the six perfections. Rabjor, thus Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas enter for the benefit of all the worlds. Rabjor, how do Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas enter for the happiness of all the worlds? Rabjor, here, Bodhisattva-Mahasattva

I also abide in the paths of the ten virtuous actions, and after that, I also establish other sentient beings in the paths of the ten virtuous actions. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas truly enter for the sake of the happiness of the worlds. Subhuti, how does the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva become a refuge for the worlds? Because they are worthy of being a refuge, and because they cause one to go to the city without fear. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva becomes a refuge for the worlds. Subhuti, how is the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva a protector of the worlds? Subhuti, here the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, seeing beings born in the three lower realms, protects them from those lower realms, and also causes them to properly take hold of and establish them in the place of peace. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is a protector of the worlds. Subhuti, how is the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva worthy of being a refuge for the worlds? Subhuti, here the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva teaches the Dharma without support, that is, not relying on form, nor relying on feeling, perception, formation, or consciousness. Those sentient beings, having heard that Dharma, will be completely liberated from birth, old age, death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, distress, and agitation. Subhuti, thus the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is worthy of being a refuge for the worlds. The Hundred Thousand Prajnaparamita, Chapter Twenty-two. Subhuti, how is the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva a friend to the worlds? Subhuti, here the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, skilled in the aspect of the path, teaches the Dharma to sentient beings who have entered the wrong path, saying: The other shore of form is always without fear. Likewise, the other shore of feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness is
