Those sons or daughters of the Shaka family will also not die in a bad state. Why is that? Because in this way, the sons or daughters of the Shaka family, practicing the perfection of generosity, have fully accomplished true happiness for all sentient beings and have been honored. Those gods of the four great king's retinues who dwell in the trichiliocosm, and the thirty-three, the No Strife, the Joyful, the Delightful Transformation, the Others' Emanation Controlling, the Brahmās, the Clear Light, the Abundant Virtue, and those great fruit ones who have entered into unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, if they have not heard, grasped, held, or fully understood this Perfection of Wisdom, then those gods should always listen to, grasp, hold, and fully understand this Perfection of Wisdom, properly attend to it, and never be separated from the mind of omniscience. Kauśika, furthermore, if those sons or daughters of good family hold, recite, read, fully understand, properly attend to this Perfection of Wisdom, and are never separated from the mind of omniscience, then those sons or daughters of good family, even if they are in an empty room, even if they are in a place without cover, even if they are in an assembly hall, fear, terror, or hair-raising will not occur. Why is that? Kauśika, because in this way, those sons or daughters of good family have always intensely meditated on inner emptiness in a way that does not focus on signs, and likewise have always intensely meditated on outer emptiness in a way that does not focus on signs. Likewise, they have always intensely meditated on the emptiness of the nature of non-things up to emptiness in a way that does not focus on signs. Then, Bhagavan, in this trichiliocosm, there are the gods of the four great king's retinues, and the thirty-three, the No Strife, the Joyful, the Delightful Transformation.

I, the gods residing from the Paranirmita-vasavartin to the Pure Abodes, beseech thus: Venerable Bhagavan, whatever son or daughter of good family holds, recites, memorizes, writes, extensively and truthfully teaches to others, properly attends to, and never separates from the mind of all-knowingness this profound Prajnaparamita, we will always and continuously protect and guard them. Why is that? Venerable Bhagavan, because of this, relying on the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, the sufferings of sentient beings in hell will be cut off, the sufferings of animals will be cut off, poor gods, poor nagas, poor yakshas, poor humans, and all epidemic diseases, disasters, contagious diseases, and conflicts will not arise, will not occur, and will be eliminated. It is for the sake of appearing in the world. Venerable Lord, furthermore, relying on the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, those of the Kshatriya caste, like great Sala trees, will appear in the world. Similarly, those of the Brahmin caste, like great Sala trees, will appear in the world. Those of the householder caste, like great Sala trees, will appear in the world. Similarly, the Chakravartin kings will appear in the world. Venerable Lord, similarly, relying on the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings exist. Similarly, the fruit of Once-returner and the Once-returner, the fruit of Non-returner and the Non-returner, similarly, the fruit of Arhat and the Arhat himself exist. Solitary enlightenment exists. Solitary Buddha exists. Venerable Lord, similarly, relying on the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, making all sentient beings fully ripen exists. Making the Buddha-field fully pure exists. The Tathagata Arhat Perfectly Complete Buddha abides. Turning the wheel of Dharma also exists in the world. Similarly, the Buddha Jewel exists. The Dharma Jewel exists. The Sangha Jewel exists. Venerable Lord, in these ways, the Bodhisattva is protected, rescued, and concealed by the world with gods, humans, and asuras. After speaking thus, the Lord spoke thus to the Lord of the Gods, Indra: Kauśika, it is indeed so. Just as you have said, Kauśika, relying on the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, all hell beings will be cut off. The world of Yama will be cut off.
