Is consciousness also without omission and does it not belong to the three realms because of its emptiness of nature? The Buddha said: Sharadvatiputra, yes, it is so. Also apply it similarly. Even up to the eight branches of the Noble Path, are they without outflows and not belonging to the three realms because of their emptiness of inherent existence? The Blessed One replied: Sharadvatiputra, it is just so. Asked: Venerable Blessed One, are the ten powers of the Tathagata also without outflows and not belonging to the three realms because of their emptiness of inherent existence? Also apply it similarly. Even up to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, are they without outflows and not belonging to the three realms because of their emptiness of inherent existence? The Blessed One replied: Sharadvatiputra, it is just so. As it is said, the minds of all individual ordinary beings are also without outflows and do not belong to the three realms because of their emptiness of inherent existence. Similarly, the minds of all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are also without outflows and do not belong to the three realms because of their emptiness of inherent existence. Similarly, form is also without outflows and does not belong to the three realms because of its emptiness of inherent existence. Similarly, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness are also without outflows and do not belong to the three realms because of their emptiness of inherent existence. Similarly, the eye is also without outflows and does not belong to the three realms because of its emptiness of inherent existence, and so on up to the mind, apply it similarly. Similarly, the eye element is also without outflows and does not belong to the three realms, and so on up to the mind-consciousness element, apply it similarly.
