It is the power of the mighty one. Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if the Tathagata does not deviate from the equality of Dharma, do ordinary beings and Pratyekabuddhas also not deviate from the equality of Dharma? Similarly, do Bodhisattvas also not deviate from the equality of Dharma? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is so, it is so. Subhuti, all dharmas do not deviate from the equality of Dharma, they do not go beyond the equality of Dharma. Why is that? Because the Suchness of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones, the non-erroneous Suchness, the non-different Suchness, the Dharma-nature, the Dharma-realm, the Dharma-abidingness, the Dharma-flawlessness, and the ultimate reality, are the same as the Suchness of ordinary beings, the non-erroneous Suchness, the non-different Suchness, the Dharma-nature, the Dharma-realm, the Dharma-abidingness, the Dharma-flawlessness, and the ultimate reality. Similarly, the Suchness of those who follow faith, those who follow the Dharma, the eighth ones, the stream-enterers, the once-returners, the non-returners, the Arhats, the Pratyekabuddhas, and the Bodhisattvas, the non-erroneous Suchness, the non-different Suchness, the Dharma-nature, the Dharma-realm, the Dharma-abidingness, the Dharma-flawlessness, and the ultimate reality are the same. Therefore, all of them do not go beyond the equality of Dharma. Why is that? Because their Suchness, the non-erroneous Suchness, the non-different Suchness, the Dharma-nature, the Dharma-realm, the Dharma-abidingness, the Dharma-flawlessness, and the ultimate reality are the same, because among them, there is nothing else called "the equality of Dharma." After the Blessed One said this, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, if the Dharma-nature of all dharmas is the same, then

The nature of the Shravakas is also the same, and the nature of the Stream-enterers, the Once-returners, the Non-returners, the Arhats, the Pratyekabuddhas, the Bodhisattvas, and the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, is also the same. Blessed One, for example, form, feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness, whatever they are, are distinct in their characteristics. The nature of form is different, and that of feeling is different, that of perception is different, that of formations is different, and the nature of consciousness is also different. The nature of the eye is also different, and the nature of the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind is also different. The nature of form is also different, and the nature of sound, smell, taste, touch, and dharmas is also different. The nature of the earth element is also different, and that of the water element is also different, that of the fire element is also different, that of the wind element is also different, that of the space element is also different, and the nature of the consciousness element is also different. The nature of desire, hatred, and delusion is also different, and that of those who have become views is also different, the meditations are also different, the immeasurables are also different, the formless attainments are also different, the mindfulnesses are also different, the noble eightfold path is also different, emptiness is also different, the signless is also different, the wishless is also different, inner emptiness is also different, the emptiness of the nature of non-things is also different, the liberations are also different, the attainments are also different, the powers are also different, the fearlessnesses are also different, the individual perfect knowledges are also different, and the nature of the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha is also different, the conditioned realm is also different, and the nature of the unconditioned realm is also different. Blessed One, how can the nature of such dharmas with different characteristics become the same nature? How does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, abiding in the practice of the Perfection of Wisdom, regard the dharmas as different? The dharmas are different

If not, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas will not be able to accomplish anything by practicing Prajna-paramita. O Bhagavan, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practice Prajna-paramita, ascending from ground to ground, entering the faultless ground of Bodhisattvas? Having entered the faultless ground of Bodhisattvas, they also greatly surpass the grounds of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Having greatly surpassed them, they also perfect all the Abhijna-paramitas. When Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas play with those Abhijna-paramitas, they perfect the Dana-paramita. And so on, they perfect the Dhyana-paramita. They play and go from Buddha-field to Buddha-field. They attend to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and cultivate roots of virtue from them. Those roots of virtue also ripen sentient beings and purify the Buddha-fields. Having thus requested, the Bhagavan said to the venerable Subhuti: Subhuti, you say this: If the Dharma-nature of all Dharmas is the same as the Dharma-nature of those ordinary beings, and the Dharma-nature of the Tathagatas, Arhats, Samyaksambuddhas, etc., is also the same, how can the Dharma-nature of Dharmas with different characteristics be of one characteristic? Subhuti, what do you think? Is the Dharma-nature of form not emptiness? And so on, is the Dharma-nature of the Tathagata not emptiness? He said: O Bhagavan, it is emptiness. He said: Subhuti, if so, in emptiness, is there any Dharma with a different characteristic of form, or even a different characteristic of consciousness, or even a Dharma with a different characteristic of the Tathagata that can be found? He said: O Bhagavan, no. He said: Subhuti, in this way, what is the Dharma-nature of Dharmas
