Because I do not see who enters nirvana, or what dharma completely enters nirvana, otherwise, his complete nirvana is like this, it is emptiness beyond boundaries! The Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines, Chapter Fifty-Three. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, if he sees other sentient beings and people fighting each other and harboring malice, he should admonish and teach them in this way: Good son, come here! All those dharmas towards which you harbor malice are intrinsically empty. You should practice patience, cultivate patience, and become of a nature that is happy to accept. Alas! For those dharmas towards whom malice is directed, who harbor malice, and with what malice is generated, you should truly understand that their nature is emptiness. Whatever is intrinsically empty will never become non-empty, because that is not made by the Tathagatas, nor by the Pratyekabuddhas, nor by the Shravakas, nor by the Bodhisattvas, nor by the gods, nor by the nagas, nor by the yakshas, nor by the gandharvas, nor by the non-humans, nor by the mahoragas, nor by the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, nor by the gods between the Paranirmitavasavartins, nor by the Brahmas, nor by those between the Abhasvaras, nor by the Pure Abodes, nor even by those who approach the Realm of Neither Perception Nor Non-Perception. Good son, for those dharmas towards whom malice is directed, who harbor malice, and with what malice is generated, you should truly understand that their nature is emptiness, and emptiness will not harbor malice towards anything. Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom, with skillful means, thus makes sentient beings accord with intrinsic emptiness, and also makes them accord with cause and effect. When according with intrinsic emptiness, one gradually attains unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.

causes them to rejoice in enlightenment in a genuine way, causes them to genuinely hold to it, causes them to enter, causes them to abide. However, these are worldly terms; in ultimate reality, it is not so. Why is that? Because in the emptiness of inherent existence, all those things that are to be obtained, and that which obtains, and that by which one obtains, all those phenomena are without any object of focus. Subhuti, for the sake of sentient beings, the bodhisattva mahasattva who engages in the perfection of wisdom at whatever genuine extreme, this is the emptiness of inherent existence. In that, neither sentient beings nor the imputation of sentient beings are apprehended. Why is that? Because all phenomena are devoid of sentient beings. Subhuti, furthermore, when a bodhisattva mahasattva who engages in the perfection of wisdom sees sentient beings who are weak in diligence, he skillfully causes them to genuinely take up diligence of body and mind. Son of good family, in the emptiness of inherent existence, there is no phenomenon that would become discouraged, nothing that becomes discouraged, and nothing by which one becomes discouraged, because all those phenomena do not transcend the emptiness of inherent existence. Therefore, generate diligence of body and mind, and abandon laziness. For example, with regard to virtuous phenomena, whether it be generosity, or ethics, or patience, or diligence, or meditative stabilization, or wisdom, or meditative absorption and liberation, or meditative stabilization and absorption, or the close placements of mindfulness, or the noble eightfold path, or emptiness, or signlessness, or wishlessness, or all the buddha-dharmas, be diligent. Son of good family, look at those phenomena without obstruction by emptiness, and there is nothing that would become discouraged with regard to unobstructed phenomena. Subhuti, a bodhisattva mahasattva who engages in the perfection of wisdom, through skillful means, thus causes sentient beings to genuinely take up, enter into, and abide in the emptiness of inherent existence, and in whatever way, causes them to abide in nonduality. Why is that? Because the emptiness of inherent existence

Neither is it two, nor is it divisible into two, because in non-duality, there is nothing that can be diminished. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he instructs and guides beings to diligently practice the emptiness of inherent existence. Son of noble family, come here! Be diligent in generosity, morality, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, or the mindfulnesses, or the eightfold noble path, or the meditations, the liberations, the samadhis, the attainments, or the ten powers of the Tathagata, or the four fearlessnesses, or the four analytical knowledges, or great compassion, or the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and so forth. Do not conceive of these dharmas as being dual, nor conceive of them as being non-dual. Why is that? Because all these dharmas are empty of inherent existence, and in the emptiness of inherent existence, there is nothing to be conceived of as being dual or non-dual. Thus, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he skillfully engages in the conduct of a Bodhisattva, and thereby brings beings to complete maturity. Having brought them to complete maturity, he gradually establishes them in the fruit of stream-entry, establishes them in the fruit of once-returner, establishes them in the fruit of non-returner, establishes them in the state of Arhatship, establishes them in self-awakening, and also establishes them in unsurpassed perfect and complete enlightenment. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he skillfully benefits beings and leads them to engage in the practice of meditation. Son of noble family, come here! Do not conceive of distracted thoughts, nor conceive of meditative thoughts, but meditate on meditation. Why is that? Because all these dharmas are empty of inherent existence, and in the emptiness of inherent existence, there is nothing that can be regarded as distracted, nor is there any dharma that can be regarded as focused.
