Knowing that the six perfections are without characteristics, and even knowing that all the Buddha's teachings are also without characteristics. Furthermore, Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he dwells in the five aggregates of grasping, which are like a dream, and perfects the Perfection of Morality. He dwells in the five aggregates of grasping, which are like an illusion, like a mirage, like a magic trick, like a reflection of the moon in water, and like an apparition, and perfects the Perfection of Morality. He realizes the five aggregates of grasping, which are like a dream, and also realizes the five aggregates of grasping, which are like an illusion, like a mirage, like a magic trick, like a reflection of the moon in water, and like an apparition, thereby making the Perfection of Morality, which is without characteristics, undiminished, without fault, unmixed, unconfused, without defilement, possessing power, praised by the wise, extremely perfect, belonging to the noble, undefiled path, and he perfects it. Dwelling in this, he guards the correctly undertaken conventional morality, the naturally obtained morality, the morality of vows, the morality of individual liberation, and the morality of right conduct. Even though he possesses such morality, he does not (think), 'May I be born equal to the great Sala trees of the royal caste,' or 'equal to the great Sala trees of the Brahmin caste,' or 'equal to the great Sala trees of the householder caste,' or 'may I become a wheel-turning monarch or a king of a region,' or 'may I be born equal to the gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings,' or 'equal to the gods of the Thirty-Three,' or 'the Yama gods,' or 'the Tushita gods,' or 'the gods who delight in transformation,' or 'the gods who have power over the transformations of others,' or 'may I obtain the fruit of stream-entry,' or 'the fruit of once-returner,' or 'the fruit of non-returner,' or 'the state of an Arhat,' or 'may I attain self-awakening.'

One should not hold to it as supreme. Why is that? Subhuti, all dharmas are like this: because of the characteristic of being without substantial nature, they are characterized by non-characteristic as one characteristic. By a dharma without characteristics, one will not attain a dharma without characteristics. By a dharma with different characteristics, one will also not attain a dharma with different characteristics. By dharmas with different characteristics or without characteristics, one will also not attain dharmas with different characteristics or without characteristics. Subhuti, in that way, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom will perfect the Perfection of Moral Discipline, which is without characteristics. Having perfected the Perfection of Moral Discipline, which is without characteristics, one will enter the faultless state of a Bodhisattva. Having entered the faultless state of a Bodhisattva, and having obtained the Acceptance of Non-Arising Dharmas, one will practice in the very knowledge of the aspects of the path, and obtain the superknowledges arising from maturation. Abiding in five hundred doors of dharani, one will obtain the four kinds of analytical knowledge, and go from Buddha-field to Buddha-field, attending upon and honoring the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. One will also fully ripen sentient beings, and also fully purify the Buddha-fields. Even when revolving in the five realms of samsara, one will not be stained by the maturation of the actions one performs. For example, an emanation can walk, stand, sit, and even lie down, but for it, there is no walking, no coming, no abiding, no sitting, and no lying down. It also performs the deeds of sentient beings, but the designation of sentient being and sentient being is also not found. For example, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, turned the wheel of Dharma, tamed immeasurable sentient beings, and passed into nirvana by means of the two vehicles, but having never seen any Bodhisattva who was prophesied to unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment, he, with the formative activity of life,

Then, after the emanation had emanated, it completely passed into nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates. Subhuti, that emanation also prophesied the bodhisattva's unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment until the past kalpa, and then completely passed into nirvana. In that emanation, neither form, nor feeling, nor perception, nor formations, nor consciousness, nothing whatsoever was perceived. Subhuti, likewise, the bodhisattva mahasattva does not perceive sentient beings or the designation of sentient beings, yet he does the work of sentient beings. Subhuti, thus, when the bodhisattva mahasattva practices prajnaparamita, if he perfects the paramita of morality, then all dharmas are contained within it, and he perfects it. Furthermore, Subhuti, when the bodhisattva mahasattva practices prajnaparamita, he abides in the five aggregates of clinging that are like a dream, like a barren woman's child, like a mirage, like an illusion, like an emanation, and perfects the paramita of forbearance without characteristics. Subhuti, how does the bodhisattva mahasattva, abiding in the five aggregates of clinging that are without characteristics, perfect the paramita of forbearance? Subhuti, here, the bodhisattva mahasattva perfects the paramita of forbearance with two kinds of forbearance. What are the two? From the time the bodhisattva mahasattva first generates the mind until he sits at the Bodhi tree, in the meantime, all sentient beings gather and revile, beat, displease, or speak harsh words, or strike with clods, sticks, or weapons, the bodhisattva mahasattva, wishing to perfect the paramita of forbearance, thinks, "Who is reviling me? Who is beating me? Who is displeasing me? Who is speaking harsh words? Who is striking with clods, sticks,
