This is the great manifestation of wisdom. That is to say, the manifestation of the perfection of wisdom, as well as the perfections of meditation, diligence, patience, ethics, and generosity. Those sons of good family, even if they have not fully awakened to Buddhahood, have become objects of generosity for all sentient beings, and will not turn back from unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Whoever uses clothing, food, bedding, cushions, medicine for the sick, and utensils, should abide in mindfulness that is in accordance with the perfection of wisdom. By completely purifying the giver and the gift, and by being very close to omniscience, those utensils will produce great fruit and benefit. Shariputra, therefore, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva wishes to enjoy the fruits of the land, wishes to show the near path to all sentient beings, wishes to create great manifestations, wishes to completely liberate beings who are bound, and wishes to show the eye of unsurpassed wisdom to all sentient beings, he should abide in mindfulness that is in accordance with the perfection of wisdom. Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva contemplates with mindfulness that is in accordance with the perfection of wisdom, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva contemplates with mindfulness that is in accordance with the perfection of wisdom, then he should also speak words that are in accordance with the perfection of wisdom. Having spoken words that are in accordance with the perfection of wisdom, he should also contemplate mindfulness that is in accordance with the perfection of wisdom. Abiding in mindfulness that is in accordance with the perfection of wisdom, without being distracted by other mindfulness, one should do as those mindfulnesses that are in accordance with the perfection of wisdom do, without abandoning diligence, abiding day and night. Shariputra, for example, in the past...

There is a person who has never obtained a precious jewel. At another time, he obtains a precious jewel. Having obtained the precious jewel, he becomes joyful, exceedingly joyful, and possesses great joy and happiness. If he loses that precious jewel immediately after obtaining it, he will become more miserable and filled with great unease than before. He will constantly and continuously think, "Alas! I have lost that precious jewel!" His mind will only be filled with thoughts of having the precious jewel. Subhuti, similarly, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should also think, "This is a precious jewel!" and should not be separated from the mental activities that possess all-knowingness. After the Blessed One spoke thus, the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One, "Blessed One, all mental activities are devoid of inherent existence. All mental activities are empty of inherent nature. Blessed One, how can a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva not be separated from the mental activities that possess all-knowingness? Because in separation, the Bodhisattva, the mental activities, and all-knowingness are not found as objects." After he said this, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti, "Subhuti, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva thinks thus: 'All phenomena are devoid of inherent existence. They are not made by the Shravakas, not made by the Pratyekabuddhas, and not made even by the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones. But the Dharma-dhatu, the abiding nature of Dharma, the faultless nature of Dharma, Suchness, non-erroneous Suchness, non-different Suchness, and the ultimate reality are abiding.' Then, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who knows this is not separated from the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? Subhuti, because the Prajnaparamita is inherently peaceful and inherently empty, therefore, to discriminate against it

Because there is no increase and no decrease. Subhuti asked: "World Honored One, if the Perfection of Wisdom is empty of nature and void of nature, how does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva perfectly practice the Perfection of Wisdom and manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment?" The World Honored One said: "Subhuti, even though a Bodhisattva Mahasattva perfectly practices the Perfection of Wisdom, there is no increase or decrease. There is no increase or decrease in the limit of reality, and there is no increase or decrease in the realm of Dharma. Why is that? Because the Perfection of Wisdom is neither one nor two. Subhuti, if upon such teaching, the mind of a Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not become dejected, does not become timid, does not become afraid, does not become alarmed, and does not become agitated, then that Bodhisattva Mahasattva dwells on the ground of non-retrogression and goes to the ultimate end. That Bodhisattva Mahasattva is practicing the Perfection of Wisdom." Then, the venerable Subhuti said to the World Honored One: "World Honored One, is the emptiness, falsity, hollowness, impermanence, and lack of essence of the Perfection of Wisdom what is practiced in the Perfection of Wisdom?" The World Honored One said: "Subhuti, it is not." He asked: "World Honored One, apart from the Perfection of Wisdom, is there any Dharma that can be regarded as practicing the Perfection of Wisdom?" He said: "Subhuti, it is not." He asked: "World Honored One, is the Perfection of Wisdom practicing the Perfection of Wisdom?" He said: "Subhuti, it is not." He asked: "World Honored One, is emptiness practicing emptiness?" He said: "Subhuti, it is not." He asked: "World Honored One, apart from emptiness,
