In a certain world realm, if all the sentient beings residing there are placed on the path of the ten virtuous actions, and between the state of Arhatship and the state of Pratyekabuddha, then, if a son or daughter of good family writes this Perfection of Wisdom on a book, even if it is only for the sake of copying and reciting and giving it to others, then, this will accumulate much more merit. Similarly, Kausika, let alone placing the sentient beings in the two thousand worlds on the path of the ten virtuous actions and between the state of Pratyekabuddha. Kausika, if a son or daughter of good family places all the sentient beings residing in the three thousand great thousand worlds on the path of the ten virtuous actions, and between the state of Pratyekabuddha, then, if a son or daughter of good family writes this Perfection of Wisdom on a book, even if it is only for the sake of copying and reciting and giving it to others, then, that son or daughter of good family will accumulate much more merit. Similarly, Kausika, let alone the sentient beings residing in the three thousand great thousand worlds. Kausika, in worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges River, if all the sentient beings residing there are placed on the path of the ten virtuous actions by sons or daughters of good family, and between the state of Arhatship and the state of Pratyekabuddha, then, if a son or daughter of good family writes this Perfection of Wisdom on a book, even if it is only for the sake of copying and reciting and giving it to others, then, Kausika, that son or daughter of good family will accumulate much more merit. Kausika, furthermore, if all the sentient beings of Jambudvipa are placed in the four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, and the five superknowledges by a certain son or daughter of good family, then, does that son or daughter of good family think that more merit will be accumulated than that? Indra requested, Blessed One.

Passed away. Mangalaso (auspicious and complete). Sugata. Mangalaso (auspicious and complete). The Blessed One said: Kausika. Therefore, any son or daughter of good family who writes down this Perfection of Wisdom in a book, or even gives it to others for the sake of copying and reading, that is, they will accumulate much more merit than that. Why is that? Because this Perfection of Wisdom extensively explains all dharmas. Kausika. Furthermore, a son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, reads, comprehends, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, that son or daughter of good family will accumulate much more merit. Placing all sentient beings of Jambudvipa in the ten paths of virtuous action, dhyana, the immeasurables, the formless realms, and the superknowledges is not like that. Proper attention to it is as follows: holding, reciting, reading, comprehending, and properly attending to this Perfection of Wisdom with a non-dual mind; holding, reciting, reading, comprehending, and properly attending to the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, and the Perfection of Giving with a non-dual mind; properly attending to inner emptiness with a non-dual mind, and properly attending to the emptiness of the nature of non-things; properly attending to the four mindfulnesses, the four correct abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, and the path with a non-dual mind; properly attending to the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddhas and properly attending to all-knowingness with a non-dual mind. Kausika. Furthermore, a son or daughter of good family, if someone proclaims this Perfection of Wisdom in some way

And extensively show, explain, thoroughly analyze, interpret and clarify to others, and also show its meaning. Regarding this, the meaning of Prajñāpāramitā is: that is, regarding Prajñāpāramitā, not regarding as two, not regarding as non-two, not being a sign, not being without a sign, not taking, not abandoning, not subtracting, not adding, not being completely afflicted, not being completely purified, not being born, not ceasing, not grasping, not relinquishing, not being a dwelling place, not being a non-dwelling place, not being correct, not being wrong, not being knowing, not being not knowing, not being merely, not being not merely, not being a part, not being without a part, not being a dharma, not being a non-dharma, not being suchness, not being non-suchness, not regarding as being correct, and also not regarding as not being the boundary of correctness. This is the meaning of non-duality. Son of good family or daughter of good family, if they extensively show and explain the Prajñāpāramitā to others, thoroughly analyze, interpret and clarify, and also show its meaning, then they will generate more merit than merely holding, retaining, reciting, fully comprehending, and properly attending to it themselves. Kauśika! Furthermore, son of good family or daughter of good family, holding, retaining, reciting, fully comprehending, and properly attending to the Prajñāpāramitā themselves, is less than extensively showing and teaching it to others, establishing them in it, thoroughly analyzing and clarifying it, and also showing its meaning, then they will generate even more merit than that. Indra requested: Blessed One, it is so, it is so. The Blessed One said: Kauśika! Son of good family or daughter of good family should thus show the Prajñāpāramitā with meaning and with words. Son of good family or daughter of good family, if they show it thus, will possess immeasurable, countless, and limitless accumulations of merit.
