Even relying on this, all perfections, as well as the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the individual perfect knowledges, and the unshared qualities of the Buddha will arise. Venerable Ananda, therefore, the Perfection of Wisdom itself is the guide between these perfections, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, and all-knowingness. Indra requested: Blessed One, whether a son or daughter of good family who holds, recites, understands, and properly attends to this Perfection of Wisdom, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One has not fully declared all those qualities of holding the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, because of holding the Perfection of Wisdom and properly attending to it, the paths of the ten virtuous actions will arise in the world. The four dhyanas, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, and even the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha will arise in the world. Blessed One, from holding the Perfection of Wisdom to properly attending to it, the kshatriya caste, like great sala trees, will exist in the world. The brahmin caste, like great sala trees, and the householder caste, like great sala trees, will exist in the world. The gods of the retinue of the Four Great Kings, and the gods up to Akanistha will exist in the world. Blessed One, from holding the Perfection of Wisdom to properly attending to it, the stream-enterers will exist in the world. The once-returners, the non-returners, and the arhats will exist. The solitary buddhas will exist. The bodhisattvas will exist. Blessed One, from holding the Perfection of Wisdom to properly attending to it.

They replied: "The Tathāgatas, Arhats, perfectly enlightened Buddhas, do indeed reside in the world." After they had spoken thus, the Blessed One addressed Indra, the lord of the gods, as follows: "Kauśika! Any son or daughter of good family who takes hold of this Perfection of Wisdom and cultivates it with proper mindfulness, I would not say that their merits are limited to that extent. Why is that? Kauśika! Any son or daughter of good family who upholds, recites, studies, fully comprehends, and cultivates with proper mindfulness this Perfection of Wisdom, will be endowed with immeasurable aggregates of moral discipline and will never be separated from the mind of omniscience. Those who uphold, recite, study, fully comprehend, and cultivate with proper mindfulness this Perfection of Wisdom will be endowed with immeasurable aggregates of concentration, aggregates of wisdom, aggregates of liberation, and aggregates of the wisdom of seeing liberation, and will never be separated from the mind of omniscience. Kauśika! Those sons or daughters of good family who cultivate it with proper mindfulness should be recognized as being like the Tathāgata, and they will never be separated from the mind of omniscience. Kauśika! The aggregates of moral discipline, aggregates of concentration, aggregates of wisdom, aggregates of liberation, and aggregates of the wisdom of seeing liberation of all Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, whatever moral discipline, concentration, wisdom, liberation, and aggregates of the wisdom of seeing liberation there may be, Kauśika! The moral discipline of those sons or daughters of good family who abide in the Perfection of Wisdom, from the aggregates of moral discipline to the aggregates of the wisdom of seeing liberation, whatever moral discipline there may be from the aggregates of moral discipline to the aggregates of the wisdom of seeing liberation, does not even approach one part in a hundred of them, let alone one part in a thousand or one part in a hundred thousand.
