And, contemplate selflessness, peace, solitude, emptiness, and also contemplate in a non-objective manner. With the contemplation endowed with the knowledge of all aspects, ignorance ceases, thus actions cease. Also contemplate impermanence, suffering, selflessness, peace, solitude, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and non-conceptualization. With the cessation of actions, consciousness ceases. With the cessation of consciousness, name and form cease. With the cessation of name and form, the six sense sources cease. With the cessation of the six sense sources, contact ceases. With the cessation of contact, feeling ceases. With the cessation of feeling, craving ceases. With the cessation of craving, grasping ceases. With the cessation of grasping, existence ceases. With the cessation of existence, birth ceases. With the cessation of birth, aging and death, sorrow, lamentation, suffering, displeasure, and agitation cease. Thus, this great mass of suffering will cease, and also contemplate selflessness, peace, solitude, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, and non-conceptualization, and also contemplate in a non-objective manner. Kauśika. Furthermore, Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas, with the mind of possessing all aspects of knowledge, cultivate the four mindfulnesses, and also cultivate in a non-objective manner. Similarly, cultivate the four correct abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the five faculties, the five powers, the seven branches of enlightenment, the noble eightfold path, the ten powers of the Tathāgata, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, and also cultivate in a non-objective manner. Kauśika. Furthermore, Bodhisattva Mahāsattvas, with the mind of possessing all aspects of knowledge, practice the perfection of generosity, and also practice in a non-objective manner. Similarly, with the mind of possessing all aspects of knowledge, practice the perfection of morality, the perfection of patience, the perfection of diligence, and the contemplation

of the other shore, and practices the Perfection of Wisdom, also practicing in a way that does not focus on anything. Kauśika. Furthermore, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, in this way he combines dharmas, intentionally combines them, makes them complete, makes them pervasive, all these dharmas are selfless, devoid of self and what belongs to self. Thus, he individually contemplates. Why is that? Thus, the mind of the root of virtue of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is not associated with the mind of enlightenment, and the mind of dedication is also not associated with the mind of the root of virtue. Kauśika. The mind of the root of virtue is not in the mind of enlightenment, nor is it focused upon. The mind of enlightenment is not in the mind of the root of virtue, nor is it focused upon. The mind of enlightenment is not in the mind of dedication, nor is it focused upon. The mind of dedication is not in the mind of enlightenment, nor is it focused upon. The mind of dedication is also not in the mind of dedication. Kauśika. Whoever thus individually contemplates all dharmas, yet has no attachment to any dharma and does not focus on it, that is the Perfection of Wisdom of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Having said this, the Lord of the Gods, Indra, said to the Venerable Subhuti: Venerable Subhuti, how does the mind of dedication not accompany the mind of enlightenment? How does the mind of enlightenment not accompany the mind of dedication? How is the mind of dedication not in the mind of enlightenment and not focused upon?

It is not mind. Thus, whatever is not mind is inconceivable, and whatever is inconceivable is also not mind. What is not mind does not fully dedicate to what is not mind, and what is inconceivable does not fully dedicate to what is inconceivable. Thus, whatever is not mind is inconceivable, and whatever is inconceivable is also not mind. Kauśika. This is the Prajñāpāramitā of a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva. Then, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhūti, "Well done! Well done! Subhūti! It is well done that you teach the Prajñāpāramitā to the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas and make them rejoice!" Subhūti replied, "Blessed One, I should repay what has been done, and I should not fail to repay what has been done. Thus, when the Blessed One previously practiced the conduct of a Bodhisattva-Mahāsattva, in the presence of the previous Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Ones, the Śrāvakas of those Tathāgatas taught and accordingly showed the six Pāramitās, truly showed, truly caused to be upheld, truly praised, truly made rejoice, and placed them. The Blessed One, having become a Bodhisattva, trained in those six Pāramitās and manifestly awakened to the Unsurpassed Perfect and Complete Enlightenment. Blessed One, similarly, we should also teach the six Pāramitās to the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas, accordingly show them, truly show them, truly cause them to be upheld, truly praise them, truly make them rejoice, embrace them, and place them. Those whom we teach and accordingly show the six Pāramitās to the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas, truly show them, truly cause them to be upheld, truly praise them, truly make them rejoice, and place them, are unsurpassed."
