Shariputra, furthermore, in the manner of non-objectification, this is the Mahayana of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Thus, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is one who truly abides in the Mahayana. O venerable Shariputra, moreover, the Mahayana of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not allow knowledge to arise in worldly dharmas. It also does not allow knowledge to arise in supramundane dharmas, in those with outflows and those without outflows, in conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. However, it is not that they do not know worldly and supramundane dharmas, nor is it that they do not know dharmas with outflows and without outflows, conditioned and unconditioned dharmas. O venerable Shariputra, in the manner of non-objectification, this is the Mahayana of a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. Thus, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is one who truly abides in the Mahayana. Then, the venerable Shariputra said this to the venerable Gangpo, son of Maitri: O venerable Gangpo, by what measure is a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva said to abide truly in the Mahayana? Gangpo said: O venerable Shariputra, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they abide truly in the Perfection of Giving, but they do not objectify the Perfection of Giving, nor do they objectify the Bodhisattva, nor do they objectify the recipient. Thus, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abiding in the Perfection of Giving in the manner of non-objectification is called abiding. Abiding in the Perfection of Ethics, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, and the Perfection of Meditation is also the same. O venerable Shariputra, here, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they truly abide in the Perfection of Wisdom, but they do not objectify the Perfection of Wisdom, nor do they objectify the Bodhisattva, nor do they objectify the mental activity. O venerable Shariputra, thus, a Bodhi-

A bodhisattva-mahasattva abides perfectly in prajnaparamita in a way that is without object of reference. Furthermore, Shariputra, a bodhisattva-mahasattva, with a mind endowed with all-knowingness, cultivates without contamination, and in order to destroy cultivation, cultivates inner emptiness, and also cultivates in a way that is without object of reference. With a mind endowed with all-knowingness, those without contamination, in order to destroy cultivation, cultivate between the emptiness of the nature of non-things, and also cultivate in a way that is without object of reference. With a mind endowed with all-knowingness, those without contamination, in order to destroy cultivation, cultivate between the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha, and also cultivate in a way that is without object of reference. Shariputra, in this way, a bodhisattva-mahasattva is said to abide perfectly in the Great Vehicle. Shariputra, furthermore, a bodhisattva-mahasattva, because the realm of sentient beings is without object of reference, for example, knows that what is called a bodhisattva is merely a designation. Because form is without object of reference, for example, what is called form is also merely a name. Because even consciousness is without object of reference, for example, feeling, perception, formations, and what is called consciousness are merely names. Therefore, for example, what is called the eye is merely a name. Because the mind is unattainable. For example, what is called the mind is merely a name. The realms, etc., The aggregates, etc., dependent origination, the thirty-seven wings of enlightenment, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha are also the same. Because inner emptiness is unattainable. For example, what is called inner emptiness is merely a name. Because the emptiness of the nature of non-things is unattainable. The interval of the emptiness of the nature of non-things is merely a name. Because the Dharma of the Buddha is unattainable, what is called all the Dharmas of the Buddha is merely a name. Because the limit of reality is unattainable. For example, what is called suchness, the nature of Dharma, the sphere of Dharma, the stainless nature of Dharma, and the limit of reality are merely names. Because the Buddha is unattainable. For example, what is called enlightenment and Buddha are merely names. It should be known as such. Shariputra, endowed with life, thus a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides correctly in the Great Vehicle. Shariputra, endowed with life, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva, in order to perfect the Abhisamaya, from the first arising of the mind until sitting under the Bodhi tree, causes all sentient beings to ripen. From Buddha-field to Buddha-field. In the Buddha-fields and in the Buddha-fields, with offerings and services that are appropriate, he reveres the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. He respects them. He prostrates. He makes offerings. From those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, for example: he listens to the Dharma of this Great Vehicle. He rides that Great Vehicle, and from Buddha-field to Buddha-field, he also makes the Buddha-fields completely pure. Sentient beings also He causes them to be completely ripened. In that, there is also the perception of a Buddha-field.
