Is the ultimate limit also something different? Is even the state of omniscience something different? Is the element of dharma also something different? Is suchness also something different? Is the ultimate limit also something different? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is not like that. Form is also something different, the element of dharma is also something different, suchness is also something different, and the ultimate limit is not something different. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are also something different, the element of dharma is also something different, suchness is also something different, and the ultimate limit is not something different. Even the state of omniscience is something different, the element of dharma is also something different, suchness is also something different, and the ultimate limit is not something different. He asked: Blessed One, if that is the case, form is also something different, the element of dharma is also something different, suchness is also something different, and the ultimate limit is not something different. Feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are also something different, the element of dharma is also something different, suchness is also something different, and the ultimate limit is not something different. Even the state of omniscience is something different, the element of dharma is also something different, suchness is also something different, and the ultimate limit is not something different, then how are the fruits of the dharmas established? The maturation of black dharmas is black, namely the hell beings, the birthplace of animals, and the world of Yama. The maturation of white dharmas is white, namely gods and humans. The maturation of black and white dharmas is black and white, namely experiencing happiness and suffering. The maturation of non-black and non-white dharmas is non-black and non-white, namely the fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, the state of arhat, self-awakening, and unsurpassed perfect complete awakening. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is by taking conventional truth as a measure that the establishment of fruits is shown, but by ultimate truth, the establishment of fruits cannot be shown. Why is that? Because that dharma is not to be distinguished, not to be spoken of, without designation. For example, name is true, form is true, unborn.

And, there is no cessation, no complete defilement, and no complete purification. This is emptiness that transcends boundaries, emptiness without beginning and end. Asked: Blessed One, if that is so, holding onto the conventional truth and establishing the fruits, if it is not the ultimate truth, then all those ordinary beings will also become Stream-enterers, Once-returners, Non-returners, Arhats, Solitary Buddhas, and Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, do ordinary beings know the conventional truth or the ultimate truth? If they know, then will they also be established as Stream-enterers, Once-returners, Non-returners, Arhats, Solitary Buddhas, or Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment? Subhuti, ordinary beings have no path, no establishment of the path, and no cultivation of the path, how can the fruits be established for ordinary beings? Subhuti, noble beings have the path and also cultivate the path, therefore, the establishment of fruits exists for those noble beings. Asked: Blessed One, is it through cultivating the path that the fruits are obtained, or should the fruits be obtained? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is not so, it is not through cultivating the path that the fruits are obtained, nor should the fruits be obtained. Subhuti, without cultivating the path, the fruits cannot be obtained, nor can the path obtain the fruits. Without abiding in the path, the fruits cannot be obtained. Subhuti, in this way, when Bodhisattva Mahasattvas practice the Perfection of Wisdom, they skillfully establish the fruits of sentient beings, but they do not distinguish between the conditioned realm or the unconditioned realm, nor do they establish the fruits. Asked: Blessed One, if that is so, distinguishing between the conditioned realm or the un

If there is no classification of the ground, the Blessed One said, "This is the fruit of entering the stream by abandoning the three bonds. By weakening desire and hatred, it is the fruit of once-returning. By abandoning the five lower fetters, it is the fruit of non-returning. By abandoning the five higher fetters, it is Arhatship itself. Whatever it may be, by knowing that all phenomena that arise are of the nature of cessation, it is self-awakening. By abandoning all the afflictions that connect with habitual tendencies, it is perfect and complete awakening." If the Blessed One did not classify the fruits of conditioned or unconditioned phenomena, how should I understand the meaning of what you said? The Blessed One said, "Subhuti, is the fruit of entering the stream, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, Arhatship itself, self-awakening, or unsurpassed perfect and complete awakening conditioned or unconditioned?" He replied, "Blessed One, that is unconditioned. Sugata, that is unconditioned." The Blessed One said, "Subhuti, then is there classification in unconditioned phenomena?" He replied, "Blessed One, there is not." The Blessed One said, "Subhuti, what do you think? When a son or daughter of good family has the conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, such as, when the signless is merged into one sign, is there any classification of conditioned or unconditioned phenomena at that time?" He replied, "Blessed One, there is not." The Blessed One said, "Subhuti, similarly, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, such as, abiding in the emptiness of inner emptiness, and even in the emptiness of the self-nature of non-things, he does not teach the Dharma by classifying sentient beings. Similarly, I also practice the Perfection of Generosity, the Perfection of Discipline, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence,
