Should be liberated. Subhuti, therefore, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva wishes not to rely on others, wishes to completely purify the Buddha-field, wishes to abide in the essence of Bodhi, and wishes to turn the wheel of Dharma, then they should train in the six perfections. Request: World-Honored One, does one train in the Prajnaparamita by means of the Prajnaparamita? The World-Honored One replied: Subhuti, I say that one trains in the Prajnaparamita by means of the Prajnaparamita. If one wishes to attain mastery over all dharmas, one should train in the Prajnaparamita. Why is that? Because that which enables one to attain the state of mastery over all dharmas is the Prajnaparamita. This Prajnaparamita is the gateway to all dharmas, just as the great ocean is the gateway to all rivers. Similarly, the Prajnaparamita is also the gateway to all dharmas, and whether it be a person of the Hearer Vehicle, a person of the Solitary Buddha Vehicle, or a person of the Bodhisattva Vehicle, they should all train in this very Prajnaparamita. Subhuti, therefore, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should train in the Perfection of Giving, as well as the Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom. One should train in inner emptiness, one should train in outer emptiness, one should train in inner and outer emptiness, up to and including training in the emptiness of the essence of non-things. One should train in the four mindfulnesses. Similarly, one should train in the right abandonments, the miraculous feet, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, and the eightfold noble path. One should train in the noble truths, meditation, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, the eight liberations, the nine successive abidings, and liberation.
