One should not mock. Why is that? Because, for example, children who are not endowed with learning, and ordinary individuals, are attached to the five aggregates, attached to form, attached to feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness, attached to the sense bases, elements, and dependent origination, attached to all the perfections, all emptiness, and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, attached to the noble truths, meditative absorption, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, liberation, the successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, extrasensory perception, samadhi, and the doors of dharani. They are attached to the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the unshared qualities of the Buddha, and even attached to the state of omniscience. They generate conceit through form and focus on form. They generate conceit through feeling, perception, volition, and consciousness, and focus on consciousness. They generate conceit through the sense bases, elements, and dependent origination, and focus on dependent origination. They generate conceit through all the perfections, all emptiness, and the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment, and focus on the dharmas of the aspects of enlightenment. They generate conceit through the noble truths, meditative absorption, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, liberation, the successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, extrasensory perception, samadhi, and the doors of dharani, and focus on the doors of dharani. They generate conceit through the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the four analytical knowledges, and the unshared qualities of the Buddha, and focus on the unshared qualities of the Buddha. They generate conceit even through unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and focus on unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, thinking, 'I have...'

One should awaken to manifest complete perfect enlightenment. Thinking, 'I shall liberate beings from samsara,' one conceives in this way, but this is not truly accurate discrimination. Why is that? Subhuti, it is because, regarding form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness, as well as the sense bases, the realms, dependent origination, the perfections, emptiness, the factors of enlightenment, the noble truths, samadhi, the immeasurables, the formless absorptions, liberation, the successive abidings in absorption, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, extrasensory perception, samadhi, the gateways of dharani, the ten powers, the fearlessnesses, the analytical knowledges, the unmixed qualities of a Buddha, and even unsurpassed complete perfect enlightenment, even the five eyes of the Buddhas do not perceive them. Yet, those foolish, blind, and eyeless individuals desire to liberate beings from samsara. The questioner said: Blessed One, since the five eyes of the Tathagata, Arhat, Complete Perfect Buddha, do not see any being who needs to be completely liberated from samsara, then, Blessed One, how is it that after awakening to unsurpassed complete perfect enlightenment and becoming a Buddha, you made predictions about beings as the three types of individuals: those who are definitely right, those who are not definite, and those who are definitely wrong? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, after awakening to unsurpassed complete perfect enlightenment and becoming a Buddha, I do not perceive any beings who are definitely right, not definite, or definitely wrong. Subhuti, however, those who perceive as real what is not real regarding beings that are without substance, that is a deception arising from worldly conventions, but it is not so in ultimate reality. The questioner said: Blessed One, did you enter into ultimate reality and awaken to unsurpassed complete perfect enlightenment and become a Buddha? The Blessed One said: That is not so. The questioner said: Then
