The Perfection of Wisdom does not make form large, nor does it make it small. Feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness do not make them large, nor do they make them small. The twelve sources, the eighteen elements, and dependent origination do not make them large, nor do they make them small. The Perfection of Giving does not make it large, nor does it make it small. The Perfection of Morality, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Meditation, and the Perfection of Wisdom do not make them large, nor do they make them small.

One should not measure between the Buddha and the Buddhas' dharmas. One should not not measure. Furthermore, the Perfection of Wisdom: one should not make form vast. One should not make it small. One should not make vast between enlightenment and the Buddha and the Buddhas' dharmas. One should not make small. Furthermore, the Perfection of Wisdom: one should not make form powerful. One should not make it powerless. One should not make powerful between enlightenment and the Buddha and the Buddhas' dharmas. One should not make powerless. Bhagavan, in these ways, this Perfection of Wisdom is the great perfection of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas. Bhagavan, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva newly entered into the Great Vehicle relies on the Perfection of Wisdom, relies on the Perfection of Dhyana, the Perfection of Diligence, the Perfection of Patience, the Perfection of Morality, and the Perfection of Giving, one should not make the Perfection of Wisdom a large form. One should not make it small. Regarding enlightenment, the Buddha, and the Buddhas' dharmas, one should not make large. One should not make small. One should not make form powerful. One should not make it powerless. Regarding enlightenment, the Buddha, and the Buddhas' dharmas, one should not make it powerful. One should not make it powerless. If one understands in this way, Bhagavan, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who understands in this way is not practicing in the Perfection of Wisdom. What is the reason for that? Because, if one makes form large or makes it small, that is not a result that accords with the Perfection of Wisdom. Regarding enlightenment, the Buddha, and the Buddhas' dharmas, if one makes it large or makes it small, that is not a result that accords with the Perfection of Wisdom. If one makes form powerful or makes it powerless, that is not a result that accords with the Perfection of Wisdom. If enlightenment

To make powerful or powerless between enlightenment, Buddha, and the Dharmas of the Buddhas is not a result consistent with the Perfection of Wisdom. Blessed One, when one thus practices the Perfection of Wisdom, to make form large or small, or to make it large or small between enlightenment, Buddha, and the Dharmas of the Buddhas, or to make form powerful or powerless, or to make it powerful or powerless between enlightenment, Buddha, and the Dharmas of the Buddhas, that becomes its great aim. Why is that? For one with the thought of an aim is not called enlightenment. That is, because sentient beings are not born, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as unborn. Because form is not born, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as unborn. Because feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness are not born, and because there is no birth between enlightenment, Buddha, and the Dharmas of the Buddhas, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as unborn. Because sentient beings have no inherent nature, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as having no inherent nature. Because form has no inherent nature, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as having no inherent nature. Because feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness have no inherent nature, and because there is no inherent nature between enlightenment, Buddha, and the Dharmas of the Buddhas, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as having no inherent nature. Because sentient beings have no substance, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as having no substance. Because form has no substance, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as having no substance. Because feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness have no substance, and because there is no substance between enlightenment, Buddha, and the Dharmas of the Buddhas, one sees the Perfection of Wisdom as having no substance.
