And have truly entered into perfect enlightenment. In this regard, in the worlds to the east, as many as the sands of the Ganges River, all the sentient beings that exist, with clothes, food, bedding, medicine, and many implements, for as many eons as the sands of the Ganges River, attend to, respect, honor, and make offerings to each and every Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, and serve them with all the implements of happiness. To the south, west, north, northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest, below, and above, in each direction, in the worlds as many as the sands of the Ganges River, all the sentient beings that exist, with clothes, food, bedding, medicine, and many implements, for as many eons as the sands of the Ganges River, attend to, respect, honor, and make offerings to each and every Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, and serve them with all the implements of happiness. Subhuti, what do you think? Does the merit of those sons or daughters of good families increase greatly because of this? He replied: Bhagavan, it is very much. Sugata, it is very much. Bhagavan, that is immeasurable, countless, and inconceivable. Bhagavan, it is even difficult to make an analogy for that object of virtuous action. Bhagavan, if that object of virtuous action had form, it would not even fit in worlds as many as the sands of the Ganges River. The Bhagavan said: Subhuti, well done, well done! It is just so, just as you have said. Subhuti, therefore, whichever son or daughter of good family, with a complete dedication free from attachment to the roots of virtue, completely dedicates the roots of virtue to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, then his merit will increase even more. Subhuti, in this way, the dedication of the roots of virtue of that son or daughter of good family is called excellent, called principal, called sacred, called outstanding, called supreme, called abundant, called unsurpassed, called incomparable.
