They become perfectly enlightened to Bodhi. Those Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas who have not yet come and those who have now appeared, will also abide in that very state and become perfectly enlightened to unsurpassed and perfect Bodhi. Now, in the realms of the ten directions, those Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas who abide, also abide in that very state and become perfectly enlightened to unsurpassed and perfect Bodhi. All those Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, having become perfectly enlightened to unsurpassed and perfect Bodhi, diligently strive to make all sentient beings free from fear, free from hatred, and free from vexation, and they place countless immeasurable sentient beings in the abundance of gods and humans. They have placed them, they are placing them, and they will place them. They have placed them in the fruit of stream-entry, the fruit of once-returning, the fruit of non-returning, Arhatship itself, self-awakening, and unsurpassed and perfect Bodhi. They have placed them, they are placing them, and they will place them. Kauśika, why is that? Because this Perfection of Wisdom has made this place a stupa for all sentient beings, therefore it is worshiped, revered, respected, honored, and venerated with many flowers, garlands, incense, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, and streamers. Indra entreated: Bhagavan, whatever son or daughter of good family writes this Perfection of Wisdom and makes it into a book to be held, and offers it homage, respect, reverence, and worship with many flowers, garlands, incense, unguents, powders, clothes, umbrellas, banners, and streamers, then they will place the relics of the Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas who have passed into complete Nirvana, in stupas made of the seven precious substances.

O, offering? Having bestowed a vessel of seven precious things, and to that, offering, respecting, honoring, and worshipping with flowers, garlands, incense, anointing oil, powder, clothes, umbrellas, banners, and many flags, which of these two has a greater accumulation of merit that increases? The Blessed One said: Kauśika, therefore, ask yourself that. As you endure, so declare. Kauśika, what do you think? The Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, having attained omniscience, and this such body being manifestly accomplished, by training in which path did the Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, attain omniscience and this such body become manifestly accomplished? Indra asked: Blessed One, by training in this very Perfection of Wisdom, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, attained omniscience and this such body also became manifestly accomplished. The Blessed One said: Kauśika, it is so. It is so. Having trained in this very Perfection of Wisdom, I attained omniscience. This such body also became manifestly accomplished. Kauśika, the attainment of this body of mine does not even enter the count of Tathāgata Tathāgata, but by attaining omniscience, it enters the count of Tathāgata Tathāgata. Kauśika, omniscience arises from the Perfection of Wisdom. Kauśika, thus, this body is the basis of the wisdom of omniscience. Relying on that basis, the Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, attained omniscience. Therefore, since this body has become the basis of the wisdom of omniscience, it has become a stupa for all sentient beings, and should be prostrated to, respected, offered to, served, and honored. Kauśika, that is completely extinguished.

After passing away from..., offering to the relics also becomes offering to the body, and does not become offering to the Dharma. Kaushika, whichever son of a lineage or daughter of a lineage writes, upholds, recites, masters, and properly contemplates this Prajnaparamita, and offers, respects, reveres, and worships with many offerings such as flowers, garlands, incense, perfume, powder, clothing, umbrellas, banners, and streamers, this becomes offering to the wisdom of the All-Knowing One. Kaushika, therefore, whichever son of a lineage or daughter of a lineage who wishes to offer to the Tathagata should write this Prajnaparamita, uphold it, recite it, master it, and properly contemplate it, and make offerings with many offerings such as flowers, garlands, incense, perfume, powder, clothing, umbrellas, banners, and streamers. Respect, revere, and worship. Kaushika, if someone places the relics of the Tathagata after his complete Nirvana in a stupa of seven precious jewels, or places them in a vessel of seven precious jewels and cherishes them, and offers, respects, reveres, and worships them with many offerings such as flowers, garlands, incense, perfume, powder, clothing, umbrellas, banners, and streamers, compared to writing, upholding, mastering, and properly contemplating this Prajnaparamita, and offering, respecting, revering, and worshiping with many offerings such as flowers, garlands, incense, perfume, powder, clothing, umbrellas, banners, and streamers, this latter one will increase much more merit. Kaushika, why is that? Because the five perfections also arise from this. Inner emptiness, and up to emptiness of the nature of non-things, also arise from this. The four mindfulnesses, the four right abandonments, the four legs of miraculous power, the faculties, the powers, the branches of enlightenment, the path, and the noble
