The venerable Sharadvatiputra Bodhisattva Mahasattva, he does not have the share to realize the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Buddha's ground, let alone realize the unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, that is impossible. The venerable Sharadvatiputra, if the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita in that way, it should be known as unskilled means. Said: Venerable Subhuti, how should the Bodhisattva Mahasattva practice the Prajnaparamita, it should be known as skillful means? At that time, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva should be known as skillful in means. Why is that? Sharadvatiputra, whatever is the emptiness of form is not form. Apart from emptiness, there is no form. Apart from form, there is no emptiness. Emptiness is also form. Form itself is also emptiness. Whatever is the emptiness of feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness is not consciousness. The nine successive abidings, emptiness, signlessness, wishlessness, the superknowledges, the samādhis, the doors of dhāraṇī, the ten powers of the Tathāgata, the four fearlessnesses, the four individual correct knowledges, great love, great compassion, and the emptiness of the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha—all of these are not the dharmas of a Buddha. Apart from emptiness, there are no dharmas of a Buddha. Apart from the dharmas of a Buddha, there is no emptiness. Emptiness is the dharmas of a Buddha, and the dharmas of a Buddha are emptiness. Shariputra, son of good family, a bodhisattva mahāsattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way should be known as skillful in means. The Twenty-five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom, Volume Eleven. Shariputra, son of good family, a bodhisattva mahāsattva who practices the Perfection of Wisdom in this way has the potential to manifestly awaken to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. He does not fixate on "practicing the Perfection of Wisdom is also practicing." He does not fixate on "not practicing is also not practicing." He does not fixate on "practicing is practicing, and not practicing is not practicing." He does not fixate on "neither practicing nor not practicing." The Blessed One said, "Shariputra, why is it that when a bodhisattva mahāsattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he does not fixate on practicing, nor does he fixate on not practicing, nor does he fixate on practicing is practicing and not practicing is not practicing, nor does he fixate on neither practicing nor not practicing?" Shariputra said, "Shariputra, son of good family, it is because the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom is unfixated. Why? Because the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom is without substance. Shariputra, son of good family, therefore, a bodhisattva mahāsattva
