Subhuti, how does the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abide in the perfection of discipline, and place beings in the four legs of miraculous power? Subhuti, here, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva prepares resources for beings, and those beings who are taken by these resources will meditate on the four legs of miraculous power. Having meditated on the four legs of miraculous power, they will be completely liberated from samsara. If a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Morality and connects beings with the seven limbs of enlightenment, what is that? Subhuti, in this case, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva prepares resources for beings, and do those beings who are completely controlled by those resources meditate on the seven limbs of enlightenment? By meditating on the limbs of enlightenment, they will be completely liberated from samsara. Subhuti, in this way, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the Perfection of Morality and connects beings with the seven limbs of enlightenment. Subhuti, how does a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abide in the Perfection of Morality and connect beings with the Noble Eightfold Path? If beings are connected, what is that? Subhuti, in this case, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva prepares resources for beings, and do those beings who are completely controlled by those resources meditate on the Noble Eightfold Path? By meditating on the Noble Eightfold Path, they will be completely liberated from samsara.
