Now, greed does not arise. Why is that? It is because he does not even fixate on that ground. How could he possibly develop desire and attachment towards it? Abiding in this Perfection of Wisdom, he perfects the ninth ground, and therefore, greed does not arise. Why is that? It is because he does not even fixate on that ground. How could he possibly develop desire and attachment towards it? Abiding in this Perfection of Wisdom, he perfects the tenth ground, and therefore, greed does not arise. Why is that? It is because he does not even fixate on that ground. How could he possibly develop desire and attachment towards it? Abiding in this Perfection of Wisdom, he also does not fixate on that Perfection of Wisdom. When he practices the non-fixation of the Perfection of Wisdom, he sees that all dharmas are included in that Perfection of Wisdom, but he also does not fixate on those dharmas. Why is that? It is because there is no duality between those dharmas and the Perfection of Wisdom; they are indivisible. Why is that? It is because there is nothing to differentiate among those dharmas, as they are shown in the realm of dharma, shown in suchness, and shown in the ultimate limit. Therefore, all dharmas are without distinction. The questioner said: Blessed One, if all dharmas are without distinction, then how are the dharmas of virtue and non-virtue taught? How are the dharmas of the mundane and supramundane taught? How are the dharmas of defilement and non-defilement taught? How are the dharmas of conditioned and unconditioned taught? The Blessed One replied: Subhuti, what do you think? In the nature of dharmas, can one say there is conditioned or unconditioned, the fruit of stream-enterer, the fruit of once-returner, the fruit of non-returner, Arhatship, solitary enlightenment, or a Bodhisattva? The questioner said: Blessed One, that is not so. The Blessed One said: Subhuti, therefore you
