The very knowledge of the form of the path has no self-nature. That which has no self-nature is unspeakable. The very omniscience has no self-nature. That which has no self-nature is unspeakable. Subhuti, this is the faultlessness of the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who has entered faultlessness, all the samadhis and attainments that are perfected, even by the power of samadhi and attainment, will not be born. What need is there to say that they will be born by desire, hatred, or delusion, and abide therein, thereby manifesting their actions, and by manifesting their actions, they will fall into the cycle of the five destinies? That is impossible. Otherwise, abiding in phenomena that are like illusions, and doing the deeds of all sentient beings, yet there is no clinging to sentient beings or illusions. Since he does not cling to sentient beings and illusions, how can he ripen sentient beings? How can he purify the Buddha-fields? Subhuti, in this way, when the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, having perfected the Perfection of Samadhi, until the turning of the Wheel of Dharma, he turns the wheel of non-clinging, emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness. Furthermore, Subhuti, when the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, he completely knows all phenomena as being like dreams. He completely knows all phenomena as being like echoes. He completely knows all phenomena as being like mirages. He completely knows all phenomena as being like illusions. He completely knows all phenomena as being like banana trees. He completely knows all phenomena as being like emanations. The question: Blessed One, when the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, how does he completely know all phenomena as they truly are, like dreams? How does he completely know all phenomena as they truly are, like echoes? How does he completely know all phenomena as they truly are, like mirages?

How does one fully understand? How does one truly understand all dharmas as being like illusions? How does one truly understand all dharmas as being like mirages? How does one truly understand all dharmas as being like emanations? The Blessed One declared: Subhuti, when a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, they do not see dreams, they do not see seeing dreams, they do not hear echoes, they do not see hearing echoes, they do not see optical illusions, they do not see seeing optical illusions, they do not see illusions, they do not see seeing illusions, they do not see mirages, they do not see seeing mirages, they do not see emanations, they do not see seeing emanations. Why is that? Because, for ordinary childish beings, dreams are inverted, echoes are inverted, optical illusions are inverted, illusions are inverted, mirages are inverted, emanations are inverted. An Arhat does not see dreams, does not see seeing dreams, does not hear echoes, does not see hearing echoes, does not see optical illusions, does not see seeing optical illusions, does not see illusions, does not see seeing illusions, does not see mirages, does not see seeing mirages, does not see emanations, does not see seeing emanations. A Pratyekabuddha does not see dreams, does not see seeing dreams, does not hear echoes, does not see hearing echoes, does not see optical illusions, does not see seeing optical illusions, does not see illusions, does not see seeing illusions, does not see mirages, does not see seeing mirages, does not see emanations, does not see seeing emanations. A Bodhisattva does not see dreams, does not see seeing dreams, does not hear echoes, does not see hearing echoes, does not see optical illusions, does not see seeing optical illusions, does not see illusions.

Because it is not true in this way, all dharmas are of the nature of non-entity, equal to complete nirvana, because it is not true, so all dharmas are not completely established, therefore, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita, how can there be attachment to objects, or attachment to complete establishment, or attachment to truth? That is impossible. Why is that? If one sees the self-nature of a certain dharma, or complete establishment, or something that has become true, then it will not become Prajnaparamita, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva practices the Prajnaparamita in that way, there will be no attachment to form, no attachment to feeling, no attachment to perception, no attachment to formation, no attachment to consciousness, no attachment to realms, no attachment to sources, no attachment to dependent origination, no attachment to the desire realm, no attachment to the form realm, no attachment to the formless realm, no attachment to the Dana Paramita, no attachment to the Sila Paramita, no attachment to the Ksanti Paramita, no attachment to the Virya Paramita, no attachment to the Dhyana Paramita, no attachment to the Prajna Paramita, no attachment to inner emptiness.
