Venerable One, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, even when truly engaging in the Perfection of Wisdom, does not increase or completely decrease. Likewise, Suchness does not increase or completely decrease. The Realm of Dharma does not increase or completely decrease. The Limit of Reality does not increase or completely decrease. Why is that? Because the Perfection of Wisdom is neither one nor two. Subhuti, if it is said thus, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva's mind does not shrink, does not fear, is not terrified, does not dread, does not become frightened, that Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abides in the realm of non-retrogression. That Bodhisattva-Mahasattva practices the Perfection of Wisdom, it should be understood thus. The Hundred Thousand Verses on the Perfection of Wisdom, Seventeenth Chapter. Subhuti asked: Venerable One, is the emptiness, the accumulating nature, the nourishing nature, the dependent nature, and the absence of essence of the Perfection of Wisdom, what is practiced in the Perfection of Wisdom? The Venerable One replied: Subhuti, it is not so. Subhuti asked: Venerable One, apart from the Perfection of Wisdom, is there any Dharma that can be designated as practicing the Perfection of Wisdom?
