The door of Dharma abides in emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, abides in supernormal knowledges, abides in samadhis, abides in the doors of dharanis, abides in the powers of the Tathagata, abides in fearlessnesses, abides in individual perfect knowledges, abides in great love, abides in great compassion, and abides in the eighteen unshared qualities of a Buddha. They do not think, 'I am not irreversible or irreversible.' They do not have doubts about this, and they have no hesitation or uncertainty about their own ground. Why is that? It is because they do not see even a particle of the qualities of irreversibility or irreversibility. Subhuti, for example, a stream-enterer abiding in the ground of a stream-enterer has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. A once-returner abiding in the ground of a once-returner has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. A non-returner abiding in the ground of a non-returner has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. An Arhat abiding in the ground of an Arhat has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. A Pratyekabuddha abiding in the ground of a Pratyekabuddha has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. A Bodhisattva abiding in the ground of a Bodhisattva has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. A perfectly complete Buddha abiding in the ground of a perfectly complete Buddha has no weakness or doubt in their own ground. Subhuti, similarly, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva abiding in their own ground has no weakness or doubt, and abiding in that irreversible ground, they also purify the Buddha-fields and ripen sentient beings. They also know the actions of the demons and do not go under the power of the actions of the demons. They also completely destroy and weaken all those actions of the demons. Subhuti, for example, a person who commits the five heinous crimes, even until the time of death,

Not separating from the mind without interval, following that mind without interval. That mind without interval cannot be destroyed by any means, and it follows from all arising until death. Subhuti, similarly, the irreversible Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the irreversible mind also abides in the irreversible ground. Since that mind is not to be examined and does not waver, it cannot be turned back from the ground of the world including gods, humans, and asuras. Why is that? It is because that mind has transcended the world including gods, humans, and asuras, and having entered into the true faultlessness, it abides in its own ground, and having obtained the supreme perfection of wisdom for those who have attained direct perception, it purifies the Buddha-fields. It also fully ripens all sentient beings. In order to see the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, to pay homage to them, and to listen to the Dharma, one also goes from Buddha-field to Buddha-field. In those Buddha-fields, one also generates many roots of virtue in the presence of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and one inquires, requests, and serves those Buddhas, the Bhagavat. Subhuti, because the Bodhisattva Mahasattva abides in this way, he understands the arising and occurrence of the deeds of Mara, and the arising and occurrence of the deeds of Mara do not come under my control. Those deeds of Mara are also skillfully joined to the ultimate reality by skillful means, and there is no timidity or hesitation in his own ground. Why is that? Because he is not timid in the ultimate reality, he does not truly see one or two in the ultimate reality. Knowing this, he does not generate the mind of a Hearer or a Solitary Buddha even after death. Why is that? Subhuti, it is because the Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not truly see any arising, ceasing, defilement, or purification of any Dharma in the emptiness of the self-nature of all Dharmas. Subhuti, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva

Moreover, after the end of life, one should not think, "I will not attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment." One should not think like that. One will not be devoured by demons, but will attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. One should think like that. Why is that? Subhuti, it is because the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is empty of its own nature. Subhuti, a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who abides in his own realm is invincible in his own realm. Why is that? Subhuti, it is because a non-retrogressing Bodhisattva-Mahasattva who abides in this way possesses irremovable wisdom. Subhuti, if a wicked Mara, in the guise of a Buddha, were to approach a non-retrogressing Bodhisattva-Mahasattva and say, "Here and now, attain Arhatship! You have not been predicted to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Those Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfect Buddhas, by whom you would be predicted to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, you have not obtained the acceptance of the unoriginated dharmas. Those aspects, those modes, those characteristics with which a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva is predicted to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, you do not possess those aspects, those modes, those characteristics." Even if he were to say that, Subhuti, if the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva, having heard that sound, does not shrink back, does not become frightened, his mind does not change, and he does not become afraid, Subhuti, the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva should know, "I have been predicted to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment by those Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfect Buddhas." Why is that? Because one should know that the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses those dharmas by which he will be predicted to attain the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Subhuti, if
