The venerable Śatakratu said to Śāradvatīputra: "Śāradvatīputra, if this profound prajñāpāramitā is taught in the presence of a bodhisattva-mahāsattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle, what fault will occur?" Śāradvatīputra said: "Kauśika, if this profound prajñāpāramitā is shown in the presence of a bodhisattva-mahāsattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle, he will hear this profound prajñāpāramitā and become frightened, terrified, and scared, and he will turn away. He will abandon it. He will not even be inclined to it. Kauśika, because that bodhisattva-mahāsattva who has newly entered the Great Vehicle abandons this prajñāpāramitā after hearing it, he will manifest and accumulate the karma of falling back. Because of that karma that has been done and accumulated, it will be difficult for him to awaken to unexcelled perfect enlightenment. Such is the situation." Śatakratu said: "Śāradvatīputra, is it possible that a bodhisattva-mahāsattva who has not been predicted will hear this profound prajñāpāramitā and not be frightened, terrified, or scared?" Śāradvatīputra said: "Kauśika, those bodhisattva-mahāsattvas who hear this profound prajñāpāramitā and are not frightened, terrified, or scared will soon be predicted to unexcelled perfect enlightenment. The Tathāgata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One will not go beyond one or two in predicting them to unexcelled perfect enlightenment." Then the Blessed One said to the venerable Śāradvatīputra: "Śāradvatīputra, it is just so, it is just so. Śāradvatīputra, any bodhisattva-mahāsattva who hears this profound prajñāpāramitā and is not frightened, terrified, or scared, and who, after hearing it, increasingly holds, recites, understands, and as the prajñāpāramitā that has been shown

Those who abide in the perfections have entered the vehicle correctly for a long time. They have practiced the six perfections. They have attended to many Buddhas. Sharadvatiputra said: O Bhagavan, I can clearly declare its example. I can clearly declare the example of the Sugata. The Bhagavan said: Sharadvatiputra, generate the courage to declare. Sharadvatiputra said: O Bhagavan, for example, in the dream of a son or daughter of a bodhisattva lineage, practicing the Prajnaparamita and entering into samadhi, initiating diligence, practicing patience, guarding morality, and giving completely, even up to reaching the essence of bodhicitta, O Bhagavan, if one knows that this son or daughter of a lineage is close to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, O Bhagavan, what need is there to say that a bodhisattva mahasattva who is not deluded by sleep has meditated on the Prajnaparamita, remained in samadhi, initiated diligence, practiced patience, guarded morality, and given completely? O Bhagavan, one should know that this son or daughter of a lineage is close to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. O Bhagavan, whoever hears this profound Prajnaparamita, and having heard it, also holds it and diligently practices it in accordance with reality, those are the ones whose roots of virtue are fully matured. O Bhagavan, the bodhisattva who holds and cherishes this profound Prajnaparamita, reads and fully understands it, and properly applies it to the mind, those are the ones who have entered the vehicle correctly for a long time and have generated roots of virtue. They have attended to many Buddhas. They have been taken care of by virtuous friends. O Bhagavan, those sons and daughters of lineage are close to being prophesied to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, close to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment.

will be prophesied. World Honored One, sons of good families and daughters of good families, if they have faith and understanding in this profound Prajnaparamita, then also holding, reciting, mastering, and properly attending to it, those sons of good families and daughters of good families, know that they are irreversible from unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. World Honored One, for example, a person comes from a remote wilderness a hundred yojanas away, or from a remote wilderness two hundred yojanas, three hundred yojanas, four hundred yojanas, five hundred yojanas away, when he comes, he sees the premonitory signs of villages, cities, towns, regions, and the surroundings of the royal palace, such as cowherds, shepherds, boundaries, abundant edible tree gardens, abundant forests, or other signs by which it can be known that there are villages, cities, towns, regions, and the surroundings of the royal palace, if he sees such premonitory signs, he will think: from these premonitory signs, it seems that there are villages, cities, towns, regions, and the surroundings of the royal palace nearby. His breath will also be relieved, and thereafter he will no longer have the fear of thieves, the fear of robbers, the fear of ferocious beasts, and the fear of hunger and thirst. World Honored One, similarly, when a Bodhisattva Mahasattva has faith and understanding in this profound Prajnaparamita, and after having faith and understanding, also holds, recites, masters, and properly attends to it, World Honored One, at that time, know that that Bodhisattva Mahasattva is close to being prophesied, and soon will manifest unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. That Bodhisattva Mahasattva will thereafter not fear the Hearer's ground or the Solitary Buddha's ground. What is the reason for that? For example, viewing, prostrating to, and hearing this profound Prajnaparamita
