That is to practice in all kinds of wisdom, and in this way, without arising from discrimination, one should truly reveal, truly encourage, truly generate joy, and truly generate delight. In this way, a son or daughter of a noble family who practices should be truly revealed, truly encouraged, truly generate joy, and truly generate delight in unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment. That truly reveals, that truly encourages, that truly generates joy, that truly generates delight, and that again truly reveals, truly encourages, truly generates joy, and truly generates delight, at the time when one generates delight, one will not become tired. It is praised by the Buddha, and truly encouraged, which is truly encouraging. In this way, the son or daughter of a noble family has completely abandoned all the extremes of playfulness. The Hundred Thousand Verses of the Perfection of Wisdom, Chapter Fifteen. At that time, the Blessed One praised the Venerable Subhuti, saying: "Excellent! Excellent! Subhuti, it is excellent, excellent that you reveal the aspects of playfulness to the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas in this way! Subhuti, therefore, you should reveal even more subtle aspects of playfulness than this. Listen carefully, listen carefully, and pay close attention, and I will explain." The Venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One: "So be it, O Blessed One." At that time, the Blessed One said to Subhuti: "Subhuti, here, a son or daughter of a noble family who has entered unsurpassed and perfect enlightenment, if they make an effort to perceive the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfect Buddha as a sign, Subhuti, to the extent that they make an effort to perceive the sign, that much is playfulness. Furthermore, all the Tathagatas, Arhats, Perfect Buddhas of the past, future, and present, all of them have been separated from playfulness. From the time they first generate the mind until they attain the holy Dharma, all the roots of virtue, all that much, they all make an effort to perceive as a sign.

doing, and completely dedicating it in mind to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Subhuti, to the extent that one focuses on characteristics in the mind, to that extent attachment arises. Furthermore, all the roots of virtue of those Hearers of the Thus-Gone One and other sentient beings who are not Hearers, all of them, are also focused on as characteristics, and completely dedicated to unsurpassed perfect enlightenment. Subhuti, to the extent that one focuses on characteristics in the mind, to that extent attachment arises. Why is that? Because those Thus-Gone Ones are not to be focused on as characteristics in the mind, and the roots of virtue of those Thus-Gone Ones are also not to be focused on as characteristics in the mind. Asked: Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is profound! The Blessed One said: Subhuti, because all phenomena are by nature utterly empty. Asked: Blessed One, I pay homage to the Perfection of Wisdom! The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom is unmade, unmanifested, and therefore cannot be fully awakened by anyone. Asked: Blessed One, are all phenomena not fully awakened? The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this: the nature of phenomena is not dual, the nature of phenomena is exhausted in one. Subhuti, that single nature of phenomena is non-nature. Whatever is non-nature is unmade. Whatever is unmade is unmanifested. Subhuti, in this way, if a Bodhisattva Mahasattva knows the single nature of phenomena as non-nature, unmade, unmanifested, then all forms of attachment are completely abandoned. Asked: Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is difficult to realize! The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this: the Perfection of Wisdom is unseen, unheard, unperceived, unknown, and not fully awakened by anyone. Asked: Blessed One, the Perfection of Wisdom is inconceivable! The Blessed One said: Subhuti, it is like this: it is not known by the mind, nor known by form, nor by feeling.
