Now, having attained Arhatship, having attained Pratyekabuddhahood, and having entered the flawless state of a Bodhisattva, whatever roots of virtue there are, and whatever roots of virtue have been generated for those Tathagatas, whether they remain or pass into complete Nirvana, gathering all of those together, I rejoice in the supreme. The most excellent, the most principal, the most noble, the unsurpassed, the unequaled, the incomparable, I rejoice in the unequal and the equal. Thus, having rejoiced, sharing the object of merit endowed with rejoicing with all sentient beings, may I accomplish the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Having thus dedicated to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, one who has truly entered the Bodhisattva vehicle speaks thus, and having dedicated with such a state of mind, now, with what object and with what things, those things that have given rise to such a mind, and now, with what object, do those sons of good family have an object in the way they have made it into a sign? Maitreya said: Those sons of good family of the Bodhisattva vehicle, in the way they have made it into a sign, and dedicated it to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, those things and objects are not objects. Subhuti said: If that is the case, with no things and no objects, then the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, who abide in the realms of the ten directions, and when those Buddhas first generated their minds, until the Dharma remains, whatever roots of virtue there are of the sons and daughters of good family who abide in the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles, and whatever roots of virtue there are of those who are in training, and whatever roots of virtue there are of those who are not in training, gathering all of those together and dedicating them in the manner of signs to the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, just as the inverted perception of considering impermanence to be permanent, the inverted mind, and the view
