There exist the fearlessnesses. There exist the individual correct knowledges. There exists great compassion. There exist the unmixed dharmas of the Buddha. There exists the fruit of stream-enterer. There exists the fruit of once-returner. There exists the fruit of non-returner. There exists arhatship itself. There exists self-awakening. There exists the knowledge of the aspects of the path itself. There exists the knowledge of all aspects itself. There exist the stream-enterers. There exist the once-returners. There exist the non-returners. There exist the arhats. There exist the solitary Buddhas. There exist the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas. There exist the Tathāgatas, Arhats, perfectly awakened Buddhas. Kauśika, if a son or daughter of good family were to establish as many sentient beings as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River in the northeastern direction in the world realm, in the four meditations, the four immeasurables, the four formless absorptions, and the five superknowledges, what do you think, Kauśika? Would the merit of that son or daughter of good family increase greatly because of that? He said, "It would, Blessed One. It would, Well-Gone One." The Blessed One said, "Kauśika, more than that, if any son or daughter of good family were to give this book of the Perfection of Wisdom to others for the sake of reading, writing, and reciting, their merit would increase even more. Why is that? Kauśika, it is because from this Perfection of Wisdom, the undefiled dharmas are extensively taught, and having been taught to them, sons or daughters of good family enter without error. They enter. They will enter. They obtain the fruit of stream-entry. They obtain. They will obtain. They obtain the fruit of once-returning. They obtain. They will obtain. They obtain the fruit of non-returning.
